Appears fine at first, but the controls have a very annoying fault - fast forwarding or rewinding is done with the same buttons that jump to another file either forward or backward, and it's very easy to accidentally jump to the end of a recording - very irritating when you're 20 minutes in to a 90 minute interview. I agree with the other comments re: Digital Wave Player - it's a pain, and life would be far simpler if the recorder could be plugged into any PC and seen as an external hard drive from which to drag and drop audio files. Worse still, my VN-2100PC has now packed up altogether. It won't transfer files via DWP without an error message popping up halfway through the process, and it dies without warning even on fresh batteries. ... Read More:

Ordered this cable at the same time I ordered PVR from another supplier on 18th June. PVR arrived on 20th. The cable finally arrived this morning, 25th. Happily the PVR came with its own cable-however,the downside to this was that the cable was cheap and caused a lot of "ghosting". The Strand cable has cured most of the "ghosting", and, as such, is very good value for the unit cost and P&P- if you can afford to wait for delivery, that is.

I have been using this model now for seven months,and apart from only getting about fifteen channels, when I thought I would get dozens as it's digital I am still quite pleased with it.But what really made me sit down and write this review is that I had to send it back today as it started playing up which does happen, (but you do get a two year warranty).Unfortunately you have to send it back to pure at your expense which is not cheap as you need to insure it as well for peace of mind. If you buy it from amazon like I did they will only exchange it within six months after which you will have to send it back to pure. Bear that in mind if you are buying one (it's a lot easier taking it back to a local store) under pures two year warranty.

The silicone case feels nice and it should protect the player from minor bumps. It does, however, make the mp3 player look a bit uglier, which is a pity as beauty is one of the zen's stronger points. The plastic screen protector is essential, - as tiny and pathetic as it may seem seem at first. Really the player should come with one or with a stronger, scratch-resistant screen. If you are buying the zen creative as a present for someone, I would definitely get them the screen protector to go with it.

I bought one of these things 6 months ago as I had registered for the great north run and was starting running on a regular basis as a motivator, i find it excellent, i have always found running fairly soulless so the idea of logging up a number of runs and being able to view them graphically on a website works really well for me. it is free to register with the nike plus website, i don't have the fancy trainers, i use a pouch- and itunes does this automatically- you need at least a second generation nano, which was a bit disappointing but after that small hurdle i was sorted one small point, i know how far i run- because i plan my runs on google maps but the accuracy is fairly sketchy sometimes- i believe it uses an accelerometer ... I got this gizmo as part of a package deal (the other part being the EZ Grabber) because I want to convert old VHS tapes in to PC files. It made connecting the PC to the VCR via the grabber interface an absolute walk in the park. Really - it's difficult to imagine how anybody could make a mess of the job. One small point - it looks different to the one shown in the picture (which is a bit naughty, I suppose, but such is life. That silver bit that looks like some other kind of connector on the side opposite the scart socket is where the red, yellow, white and S-Video connectors are. Just thought I'd mention that in case you know what that sort of stuff is all about and might get caught out.
