i'm a great fan of music and others love listening to my music. This mini speaker is pretty cool with good sound. i took it out to the pub one night as my local doesn't play very good background music and everyone was amazed by this gadget. You can stand a fair bit away from your phone (8-10metre) as long as no obsticles are in the way it's fine. i am impressed, well done sony. The only downfall.....i wish the battery lasted more than 4 hours.

I received my speaker system a month or so ago but had to return it after the device kept powering off after a couple of songs. I then received my next device (very prompt delivery - thanks Amazon) only to find the next one had the same issue. All very frustrating. I spent a few hours on the internet and discovered that the device had an auto power off feature. Experimentation showed that unless the ipod was firmly seated in the holder the device would switch off after a few minutes. Even using the ipod controls directly seemed enough to dislodge it. I bought these speakers about 8 months ago and they've proved to be very useful. The sound quality is very impressive given the size, and they fold up nicely for taking on trips. I found the battery life pretty good - they lasted a 3 week trip in Japan for me. It was a bit annoying that it didn't come with a power adapter, but I looked through my box of discarded wires and plugs and found a 5V adapter for an old USB hub. This works perfectly for the speakers, and I use this when I'm using the speakers at home or travelling in the UK. I thus recommend others to check what adapters they have and see if they have one that matches the speakers. As well as using the speakers for my Creative Microphoto MP3 player, I also connect ... The Sony 5.1 speaker set is great! i bought this a few days ago and wow do these small speaker pack a punch! there a separate console to control the rear, center and sub woofer! this is a extra touch that was good as you can adjust bass and make the sound even all around your room. i give it a five star because of such a well-design but mainly the value for money you get in return, is more than amazing. the rear speakers still need a little length put on it, but that rather minor when you have such great sound coming from it. oh and there's a second input which is just like a headphones jack, so you need a cable that has a double jack at each end. which Sony don't provide with the product.
