After reading many reviews of these speakers i knew i had to give them a go. So i ordered them from amazon.co.uk and they arrived today. As soon as i took them out of the box they looked like they were going to be good. You had all the cradle types needed, and 5 different plug adaptors so if you want to take them to Korea or America or pretty much anywhere in the world, you can. Plus the speakers can also run off battries but i`m sure you already knew that. Anyway i plugged my new speakers in and attached my ipod classic, selected a track which i knew for certain would test these speakers. Mindfields by The Prodigy. With all the lovely weather we are having i was getting frustrated with no music outside! Would have loved to go for the Bose system but had to settle for the next best thing! Great value for money, no complaints as of yet!

Very clever product, but the Bluetooth connection can be a little unstable and the product is easily switched on in transit as there is no "lock" mode.

Very misleading photograph. Actual position of Walkman is jammed up against one of the speakers. Sound quality also much poorer than expected. Am in the process of trying to return item but the link to sellers Returns Authorisation page is broken and email reply is not their strong point. Wouldn't recommend buying for Sony Walkman or from this supplier.

iStuff Companion Speakers Good points: very, very small & light & have a neat little case if you like that kind of thing. No batteries or power is needed, which makes them very portable. Bad points: poor quality sound and distortion at high volumes. The maximum volume is just enough to be heard in one room, but not if the room is full of people. Also the headphone jack lead is very short. Portable Folding Speakers for Ipods & mp3 players - white = the same as you find on lots of websites. Good points: maximum volume better than iStuff. Yes, battery life... mine went dead after less than a year of usage which is disappointing. The logic of the navigation on the Zen Stone is frustrating; meant to be intuitive it is in fact a cluttered and often unresponsive effort which the designer could have avoided. It comes with no clip - I understand this is part of the 'pebble' design but from a practical point of view (i.e. when in the gym or on the move),and for something so small, a clip would have been highly useful. Following the premature `death' of the Zen Stone I am now opting for a Sandisk Sansa Clip which hopefully will prove a more long lasting choice.

I already own a Logitech Audiostation (the forerunner to this model). I tried this model out in the shops the other day and the new model is definitely as good - probably better sound and more features - better remote for a start. Don't waste your money on Bose or even Apple equivalents, this might be cheaper, however the sound quality is superior. Don't believe me - go and try them somewhere with your ipod and music. Check reviews on ilounge dot com and see that the Logitech speaker systems are respected and the best in the price range.
