Well, yes, it gives you four USBs from one. But like other reviewers I found the slow transfer speeds with camera, wireless stick and mp3 player annoying - that little message that comes up saying 'this attachment could work much faster...' can really get you down. I guess the key is to use it for things where speed is not crucial and leave the original USB ports for things that need speed. But you can buy better.

I have a modern PC and an IBM thinkpad laptop, standard hardware, but I cant get this device to work. The hotkey combinations "beep" but dont actually switch between devices, so I have to use the manual switch button which is too small and tricky to find amongst all the cables. So, not well designed, not working, and going back to Amazon today! Perhaps I am ulucky and got a faulty unit? Will try a different brand next time.

Bought this to use with my new MacBook and it has proved it's worth. Matches the colour and design of the Mac and extends it's usefullness.

I've just bought this from Amazon. It is working very well, allowing me to use multiple firewire devices on my Mac at the same time. No more plugging and unplugging for me! Wish I'd had this a long time ago.

I purchased this product because one of my usb slots was faulty and all my usbs seemed to work on one slot, anyway i purchased this product hoping i can take advantage of that one good slot and i did. Ordered it and it came a few days later and it works perfectly. P.S Cured the one good usb slot problem, now its 4 good usb slots

Solid weighty product that does exactly what you think it should. Successfully connects up the BT Home Hub, PC, Mac and Network HDD. Cant really fault it!

I bought this product as my old Netgear PC card was only getting a 'low' or 'very low' signal and if left on for a long time, the LED would stop blinking and I couldn't get into the internet at all. I'd have to log off and leave it for a couple of hours. I downloaded the new software from the CD and all seemed well. I connected to our network using the Netgear Smart Wizard and put in the password, but it would not let me 'validate' the settings and, when I turned the computer off and on again, they were lost, so I had to click on the network and put in the password again. We have had so much hassle with our network recently and the Netgear helpline was less than helpful so I have to admit that I did not even bother phoning them for a solution. ... Read More:

The product arrived as advertised and quickly from the manufacturer. I bought what is effectively a starter kit which was the 85mb ethernet adapter and 54b/g wireless adapter. The product is being used with a Linksys wrt54g router and various computers and laptops running WINXP, WIN2000 and WIN98. Initial setup was straightforward plug the 85mb homplug in the socket and run an ethernet cable to the ethernet port on the router, then plug in the wireles adapter. I decided use the setup wizard on the cd which seemed to hang so, after 2 attempts, I decided to set it up myself using internet explorer (IE).
