The router is supplied by Pixmania and mine was a French version. All the documentation was in English and an adaptor was supplied for the european plug which works fine although a crosshead srewdriver was needed to attach it correctly as the plug screws in and locks itself - a safety measure I beleive! In addittion the CD is buggy and not very user friendly, and the web based router interface was in French, however a simple firmware update from the English version on the D-Link website and it now works exceptionally well. Especially with VOIP for which had experienced problems in the past. Overall good value for those with the expertise to use it and who want more advanced features like Qos. I have an HDTV with only 1 HDMI socket. This quickly became a problem when I needed to keep changing the cables from my PS3 and multi region DVD player. Rather than wear out the connections and ruin my telly I decided to purchase one of these units. This model is very well made in a suprisingly small but sturdy metal casing. The unit is a maximum of 7 inches wide and only 1 inch high by 4 inches deep so it will fit nicely in most space restricted set ups. The unit is heavy enough for it not to be pushed out of position when the cables are attached. Also, the unit has the capability of being hung on the wall behind your tv so it can be completely out of sight if you wish (additional wall fixings are not included for this). I bought this 7-port USB 2.0 hub to replace a number of old hubs that were creating a tangle of wires and mess behind my PC. Whilst the ports are close together and really more suitable for standard size USB plug (A-type plug) it does make the overall design very compact and neat. With up to 480 Mbps data transfer speed it makes it 40 times faster than my old USB 1.1. I am now able to attach up to 7 high-speed USB peripherals such as external hard drive, PC cam, mobile phone lead, printer etc to one USB 2.0 port and everything works superbly and so much neater than before behind my PC. I bought this from amazon and it arrived today, setting up was a bit of a nightmare, a word of warning, before disconnecting your old modem find whatever information you can about the settings you will need for your service provider even if you have to trawl thru the internet for a hour or two to find out what information you need, i found that out the hard way.. once set up it seems to work absolutely fine, my pc is running ok with this modem/gateway altho i cannot check my xbox 360 as xbox live is down for today. it looks aweful, like a kids toy but as long as it does the job then thats really all that matters

I've just installed this router as an upgrade from a Belkin Cable/DSL Gateway Router F5D6231-4 connected to cable Virgin Media thatb I've used for several years. I wanted to extend signal coverage to some of the further away rooms in the house as well as the garden, and make use of the faster wireless network speed (max 300 mbs up from 11 mbs). Following the quick setup up guide, and with the setup utility, it worked first time, straight out of the box, and has extended coverage just like I needed. The wireless LAN speed is defintely quicker, although I haven't dome any serious testing yet. One of the reasons I chose Belkin is because of their lifetime support.
