I scan a lot of 120 film, and the free medium format holder for my Nikon 8000ED, being plastic, worried me. Occasionally I got slightly out of focus scans, so I decided to get one of these glass-mounted holders. On the whole, I'm pleased with it. Certainly the film is flatter, and scans are now uniformly in focus. However, there was a startup issue, and a couple of ongoing ones. Firstly, no instructions come with the unit -- I searched the web, and found some (sadly, I can't remember the URL). The instructionos were necessary to be sure I was using the flimsy film dividers correctly (hint: place them under the film!).
