For years my PC has been in a corner, all the wires behind the back leg of the corner desk and due to arthritis in the knees I have not been able to get down on the floor to turn the mains off. These plugs arrived the other day and I had them plugged in for me. At the end of night one for the first time in years I turned off my mains plug, no more is my internet on all through the night :) Am back on the site today to order more for the other electrical items I can not reach.

RE. Mrs. J. A. Collinson "mariocdl" (York, England) I think your problem could be your DVD-RW drive. Try updating the firmware for it! If that doesn't work, buy a new drive (they are less than £20) - Samsung 200 series are probably the best to get. I was getting lots of failed DVD burns (coasters), then i found out that my DVD-RW firmware was about 2 years and 8 versions out of date! I installed the new firmware, and it has not failed since. These Verbatim printable DVDs are top quality, as are the DataWrite printables i use.

We bought our Sony Bravia KDL32W4000E HDTV a month ago. We look forward to watching the 4 HDTV 1080i mp4 channels that start transmitting here in Brittany in mid October 2008 and 4 more by the end of the year. But the main reason we bought this TV was to watch HDV video from our Canon HV20 camescope, and to watch our photos on a large screen in HD. The HDV tapes.... I give you 5 stars Sony, without question When we play the HDV tapes into the TV using the HDMI cable the results are superb. Better than any sort of TV we have ever seen before. This product is easy worth twice what I paid, it is well made and big enough to take all the bits and bobs you need + room for the DVDs cons It looks a little cheap, but for the price you will not regret getting one

I was a bit disappointed when I read the numerous bad reviews for this Freeview box, as when I initially read the description and spec's it all sounded pretty good. I tried looking for an alternative Freeview box but was rather surprised by the real lack of quality set top boxes on the market. It seems that just about every box is made by a little heard of manufacturer who make it their aim to make the most hideous looking box on the market. Because of this I decided to take a chance and go for the Philips which at least came from a fairly reputable manufacturer and looks good. I was looking for a desktop speaker set for my laptop and mp3 player. Seeing the ratings and reviews, I decided to go for this one and I must say you get really a good quality set of speakers for this value. Good design, I like the big remote control which grips the surface of your desk. I'm no sound expert but I can say the bass feels really clear and basically you enjoy what you're listening to on loud or less volumes clearly. I'm using this for my tiny room which is around 5*5 meter but I guess it also would do good in a large living room for a possible house party. Go for it!

I disagree with the last two reviewers - these are very good for £45, and perfect if you want a pair of speakers connected to a PC, and you want clear, well resolved sound. I have had 3 or 4 Creative systems prior to this, and have always found they make well constructed, musical kit. They are a good size, not too big (like T40s) by your PC, and well made, with separate grilles. Agree that the blue light is annoying, but a dab of white-tack covers that up no problem. These speakers are not really for bassheads, if thats your bag I suggest you stick to a 2.1 system and muddy everything up with great big wodges of low end. Not for me. I ordered this television a week ago and I have to say it is utterly fantastic. The TV picture on the freeview is crisp and very sharp. However, when watching football (I do not have a HD receiver) the image is quite blurred at times. But when wired up to an Xbox the results are truly mind blowing. The picture is gloriously crisp - a far cry from the old widescreen set I was using. If you own an Xbox or PS3 this television set is worth buying just for that. There are a vast number of HD TV sets out there which also get fantastic reviews. However, the sleek design and superb remote control beat the rival models for me.
