The first thing to strike me about the Creative Travelsound was how attractive, chunky and apparently well made it is, a relief considering the price, which was getting on for as much as that paid for the compatible Stone Plus player. The unit has a neat little stand and its own power switch, allowing the speakers to be used either actively with the supplied AAA batteries or passively via the MP3 player itself (which is not recommended as this drains the player's own battery unnecessarily). The sound quality is fine to my untrained ear although, obviously, much depends on the bitrate at which the player's tracks were themselves recorded. Hesitated before buying but absolutely no reservations since doing so. Really great quality sound upgrade for any laptop. Straight plug and play with Vista...neat carry case.

These mini speakers are great! They can be used in different configurations: V-shaped, vertical, opened horizontally...etc. They sound good and look good. Well worth having in my opinion.

If you are in two minds as to which speaker system to purchase between the IM7 and the IM9, I would suggest considering only one thing. That's portability The IM7 is the better speaker solution and the bass is outstanding. The IM7 would certainly have the edge over the IM9 and is rated higher than the BOSE system. That said the IM7 would be less portable for business trips etc. The IM7 is certainly a more durable unit and sound again is crisp and well balanced and would certainly fill any mid sized room. I would advise as a previous reviewer advised adjusting your equalizer settings to a more treble balanced sound. The carry bag is a great addition to the IM9 and great for accessories batteries etc for your IM9 and for carrying your unit around ... Read More:

Having purchased this a few weeks ago.I am still pleased with the sound quality, i have the jamo hooked up to a jamo 200 sub. Oh boy does it rock,with out the sub the bass was very weak.So any one who buys one of these babies, get yourself a sub to match it.I LOVE IT.

Very impressive sound, loud and good quality suprisingly from such small speakers. Good piece of kit to have for PSP, and good to play in a bag walking down the street, look gangstaarr !
