I bought these speakers about 2 months ago and i haven't looked back. The only problem i had was that the delivery cost to Northern Ireland isn't shown on amazon while you book them. The delivery cost was about 20 pound. However on a bright note, i love these speakers. I have them connected to my XPS lap top and they work great. The sound produced is simply stunning and very clear. The sup woofer is very powerful. I don't agree with people saying these speakers are "apple/mac accessories", they are multimedia speakers I bought these speakers instead of creative 5.1 sound speakers and I still believe this was the right choice. They were fine when they worked, but like so many of these units mine recently blew a fuse and if you replace it the fuse just blows again. It's unacceptable to throw away an expensive item like this and I will never buy another product from creative again.

The SoundDock will play the audio from the newest iPods (Nano 4th Generation, iPod Touch 2, iPhone 3G, and Classic 2nd Generation) with no problems at all. Unfortunately due to Apple redesigning the pin connection on their newer iPods the Classis SoundDock will not charge. The SoundDock Portable will both play and charge with no problems, but again the original SoundDock will not charge the newest iPods. Unfortunately as this is a fundamental design change by Apple not Bose; there is no way to modify the Original SoundDock to enable it to charge.

A cracking set of speakers, ideal for holidays or by the BBQ. Having a mid range Denon system in the house I wasn't expecting all that much from this little thing but I was really surprised. Already the techno mad daughter has ditched her iplod speakers and laid claim to this for her holidays and even the wife raised an eyebrow at the sound quality and that's some praise.

These are truly dreadful speakers that sound like the output from a 1970's Wharfedale portable cassette player. I went by the review that said these were good and to buy them now but I would have to vehemently disagree. You would have to be tone deaf to think the sound quality was any good let alone excellent. In my humble opinion spend a bit more and get better quality, these are going back to Amazon as they certainly do not match the manufacturers description.

After reading numerous good reviews of these speakers I recently purchased a 2nd hand set off of eBay as my Creative I-Trigue 3200's subwoofer mysteriously packed up having had very little use. When these arrived (in mint condition) the setup was instant & all the 3 plugs colour coded for easy guidance. Note:for best sound from the 2 satellites, if the speakers are placed below ear level, position them upwards for full & clearer clarity. After moving the speakers around to find their best position I was absolutely amazed at the crystal clear sound quality & stereo imaging listening through my itunes music library.
