This printer is very nice. A very good scanning and copying function, with a very thorough set-up process. The printer is very quick and efficient with good ease of use with just the press of a button. The printer also has a fax function but I have never bothered to set that up. The only problem I do have with it though is that it uses quite a bit of ink, and the ink isn't cheap. For the price it is at now is very reasonable; it is of very good build, and looks expensive. The unit itself though is quite large and takes up a bit of room. It does also need a USB cable but they are a few pounds also on amazon!

As the description says, the paper is extended on one side so that you can handle it easily as it drys. The print is perforated to allow you to tear the extension off. Or to try to! The messy torn off edge spoils the photo unless you are going to mount it in a frame. You will then try to trim off the edge with scissors. If you are one of those dextrous crafty types, you will have a great photo. If you are like me ....

I use a DSLR (20D and 40D) for 'serious' photographic opportunities (foreign travel, shows etc) but for just about everything else I use a compact for the portability. I want manual control of my camera so I've been using a Canon S80 for the last 3 years and to good effect but when the G10 was announced I became interested, primarily after seeing the sample images that Canon provided but also because it has a 28mm lens and I use wide angle more then telephoto. That's why the S80 was with me for so long: the 28mm lens!
So, my G10 arrived a few days ago and to be honest, despite the hype, I didn't expect to be that impressed. I thought it would be an S80 in a bigger case and with slightly higher resolution (and that's if Canon could pull it off: ... Read More:

I already owned a Microsoft optical notebook mouse 3000 wired. The size of notebook mice was a welcome change from a desktop mouse as there is less strain on the back my hand. Also, the acceleration curves are setup so that the mouse moves more quickly over the screen. On high resolution displays, this makes a big difference.

One issue with the 3000 was that the scroll wheel was too fluid. This is fine for scrolling down pages but it's not good for applications like FPS games where you often use the scroll wheel to change weapon. A smooth scroller means you often overshoot your selection. You do hear the clicks when you scroll with the 5000 but it's faint.

The 3000 also had a very stiff middle click - so much that I actually had ... Read More:

I've owned my Canon 1000D for about 3 weeks now and have given it a reasonable test drive. The one thing that strikes me most is the ease at which I can find my way around the camera instantly to find the correct settings (very intuitive).

The Camera noise is non-exsistant at ISO 800 and ISO 1600,(outstanding). The EOS 1000D is very similar in shape and style to the 450D, it even shares the exact same "LIVE VIEW" technology, all the button's are the same, layout the same, just the 1000D sports a 10mp Sensor and the 450D a 12mp Sensor. I so far have only used the 18-55mm image stabilized kit lens, and am very satisfied with the results, the 1000D Kit lens construction and optics are far superior to the kit lens supplied with the Canon Eos 400D, ... Firstly service from Amazon was excellent.
Having read a few reviews of this item took the advice of installing the latest software version from the Logitech website rather than use the enclosed CD. Once software installed plugged in camera when instructed and waited a few minutes. As previously advised by other reviewers this does take a few minutes but just be patient. After this followed link to install Skype and was up and running in minutes. Camera and microphone quality both excellent. Relatives in New Zealand could even tell the colour of my baby son's eyes.

Only negatives stand needs more base weight (will probably put some Playdough to sort this out) and clip for top of laptop pretty poor.
