I have had this phone a few months now and I am completely satisfied with what the phone can offer. It is so simple to use. The caller display is helpful and the loud speaker is useful for my children. Yes you can buy other options for lots more money but I can't see why pay extra.

I started using this phone three days ago and already I've had a host of major problems - poor connectivity even when very close to the router, very poor reception on the phone (echoing and patchy reception), inability to download product updates using the CD provided, and rapid heating up of the phone during calls. I downloaded a software update from the Netgear website as I could not access it from the CD provided, and after installing the update the phone now constantly restarts on its own just after connecting to the wireless network, so I am unable to use it. UTTER RUBBISH!! DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU ENJOY THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY! SEEKING TO RETURN PRODUCT.

I bought this telephone and it was perfect for me, so I bought another set a year later. In both cases the gold charging pins that the handset sits on have come lose and fallen out so that I cannot charge the handset. I have had to throw both base units away. So beware the base unit has an operational life of less than 2 year.
