I've spent money on VOIP phones and with VISTA bugging with them all the time decided to buy the Netgear. Plug in and use it - how easy? I'm impressed with it despite the dodgy ringtones. There aren't any alternatives yet unless you want to spend £100's. So if you want a phone that's permanently logged into skype regarless of computer being on this is the phone for you.

This phone works in that you can make and receive calls but the display is all but illegible. If you want a phone that has a display, I'd pay more. Else pay even less and get one without a display.

This is a neat little machine and great value. My only negative warning is that even with volume turned fully down to minimum you still hear messages being left. I'm thinking of installing a switch - bang goes any warranty!

Useless, useless, totally useless. It'll work for a while, then switch itself into answer only mode, so people can't leave a message. Once it's in answer only mode there's no way to get it out other than unplugging it, removing the battery to reset the thing and start over again. A right pain in the neck. Buy something else.

Have finally replaced our old analogue cordless phones with these excellent products from BT. They're weren't the cheapest phones on the net, but you get what you pay for. No more suffering "sorry, but I can't hear you very well.." from callers and having to break off to extend aerials and turn up volumes. The reception has been crystal clear on all of the phones (2 downstairs and one upstairs) and I haven't had to adjust the volume at all. Had no difficulty with setting up the phones, using the easy to follow instructions. Downloaded all the contact numbers and names into the phones from my mobile phone's SIM card (saved hours of entering onto three phones!) this phone is terrible not only does it cut you off half way through a call due to poor battery power, it sometimes does at when you try and answer a call even after its been charged all night don't buy at all ever seriously no stars
