Electronics : Kodak EasyShare CX4210 Digital Camera [2MP]

I like the Kodak brand and their customer support is excellent. The camera is easy to use, lightweight and has a good colour preview and review screen. For highest quality pictures you get 17 from the internal 16mb memory and around 40 on the lower quality settings.
As with all digital cameras I recommend that you purchase a dock (Amazon has these for under £45), which comes with rechargeable batteries and will act as a charger as well as offering one button click to transfer your pictures to your PC.
Alternatively buy a battery charger for around £15 and use this to recharge the batteries and you can transfer pictures to the PC using the supplied USB link cable which treats the camera like a removable hotswitching drive.

I used to have a basic Canon digital camera but after a while I needed a much more convinient camera - the Casio seemed to fit the bill. It is compact, light, delicate and beautifully crafted to precision, but how does it perform? You must remember that this is only 3.2MP so it is not designed for the serious professional but rather the common man who wants to take shots of his family or when he's travelling. This is shown throughout the way it is made - it comes with a dock and the NP-40 battery. The only disadvantage to this is that it could become problematic if your going travelling for a long period because it means taking the dock with you and having to travel with an adaptor to charge it up in the hotel. If you see yourself taking it a lot with ... Read More:

The thing which strikes me about the camera is the ease of use. The face of the camera isn't dotted by 20 different buttons and wheels and all the settings are clear and easy to get to and use. Picture quality is very good and the movable zoom on the camera is a nice touch. Getting the pictures from the camera to the computer couldn't be simpler, the software (easyshare) it uses is straight forward and the interface is clean and user friendly, very good for first time users, it will also go furthur for the more advanced computer user. A few points which need to be mentioned. The video mode is very good for fun but don't expect amazing things from it. The time from pressing the button to the shutter going down is a good second, enough time for that elusive wildlife shot ... Read More:

Excellent small and lightweight digital camera and very easy to use. I was using it sraight away and the quality of pictures is excellent. Plenty of features including red eye reduction, zoom lens, movies facility, auto exposure, etc. Very easy to download the pictures directly from camera to your computer.
The batteries would possibly wear down quickly but the option of buying re-chargeable batteries is a good alternative.
My previous Fujifilm camera had a built-in rechargeable battery which was okay but, if it went flat, I couldn't use the camera until it had been charged up again.
At least with removeable batteries, you can take a spare set with you!

I bought this camera 2 years ago as a complete photography novice. What attracted me to this camera was the amount of functionality compared to other cameras at the time in the same price range. The beauty of digital is being able to practice using manual settings for apertures and shutter speeds, experimenting with the colour modes etc. Maximum sized pictures of 1600 x 1200 pixels is more than good enough for a 10 x 8" printed photo. You'll definitely have to buy a bigger flash card as the 8MB supplied card holds 7 photos in superfine mode. Max file size is 1.1Mb so a 128 or 256 card is more than enough and a card reader is also a definite must have for dowloading.

Since buying this camera I have also purchased Macro, wide angle and telephoto lenses giving even more ... Read More:

[...]This camera was worth every penny. Nine months ago I 'upgraded' to a smaller newer model by sony. Although the new model was faster and more up to date technology wise, the results from the camera was disserpointing, the main problem being that in anything less than optimum lighting you have to use a flash or tripod or as cannot hold the camera steady enough to get a clear photo. Time after time I had out blurred photos in light that wasn't ebven that low, so now I have gone back to my trusty DSC-S70 which can be relied upon to produce clear photos in very low light conditions time after time. A bit big by todays standards but feels like a real camera. I would recommend this camera to anyone wanting a good quality camera for a low used price especially if you are using it for macro ... Electronics : Fuji @xia Slimshot Digital Camera [0.3MP]

i bought my Slimshot seven months ago and it has been a great success. Simple to carry around and produce from a pocket at a moment's notice, it really does take quite acceptable snapshots, rather better ones than i was expecting when i ordered the camera.

The 'autobrite' back light compensation system works well but on occasion seems slightly confused by white objects - daisies for example ! But the software was simple to install and operate and i quickly learned to compensate for a slightly off-centre viewfinder.

OK only being able a store 26 pictures means the camera is more suited to day trips than holidays but in practice I havent found the lack of memory a problem.

Just received one of these for Christmas (at my request).

Having read the earlier reviews I wasn't expecting the camera to be up to much, but I have to say I am staggered by the quality of the photos. Sure they're not the same quality as photographs produced from film, but that's not the point of this little box of tricks.

I took it with me for a weeks' holiday, having installed a brand new battery. Yes, the display flashed at one point to tell me the battery was struggling, after I had taken several photos in quick succession. But there was nothing to worry about, I returned home a few days later and successfully downloaded the whole lot onto my PC.

At the price, you can't really expect it to produce good low-light photos (the camera won't take a photo if ... Read More:
