This camera looks sooooo good, which is just as well given the lack of carry case supplied. I had a quick look at cannon's Ixus 300 case and concluded it was about as useful as a sock, so bought a generic case which actually might protect it a bit. The camera itself is great bar one slight snag: there is often an appreciable delay between pressing the button and a picture being taken. Up to 3/4 sec in some cases: long enough for those smiles to strain or fade. A shame for an otherwise excellent camera.

I am not often moved to write reviews etc, but this camera is so awesome, I think it deserves a bit of praise. Being new to digital photography, but accustomed to the traditional SLR technology, I wanted a camera with masses of flexibility. I wanted the ability to take quick snaps, but also to be a bit more creative. This camera has it all. Initially I found the vast array of possible settings slightly daunting, but within a couple of hours of trial and error I was finding the camera intuitive to use and fun into the bargain. All of this and it fits in my handbag (unlike the SLR and associated gadgetry). Doubt if I'll upgrade for absolutely years :)

I bought two of these cameras while living in Spain & found them excellent little devices considering the resolution of 1.3 megapixels. They are easy to carry with you ( thus you are more likely to take it with you) & ideal for that 'unusual' shot! My problem is that on my return to the UK, I bought a new PC with Windows Vista installed, & JVC apparently do not have a Vista driver for this model. can anybody help?

Fantastic camera ~ easy to use ~ even for a beginner like me! This is the perfect camera for those moving on from a point and shoot 35 mil to a digital. The rechargable batteries and charger make this camera an affordable one to operate I love it. HOWEVER I feel I owe it to all Amazon users to tell them of my experience when the camera stopped working after only 18 months of careful use. i really hate slagging off things but i would advise everyone not to buy this camera. It was great for the first month i had it, really easy to use and great pictures. Unfortunately i only managed to take 22 pictures and the screen cracked. When i sent it back to Hewlett Packard well within my warranty they said that repairing the screen was not covered under the warranty and tried to charge me nearly the cost of the camera to repair it. They accused me of dropping the camera which was rubbish as the camera didn't have a mark on it. They then said that it may have cracked due to extremes of temparature eg going from outside to inside too quickly which kind of defeats the object of having a camera if you can only take pictures in a warm environment or cold ... The Epsilon 2.0 is a very good lowish-end choice of digital camera. It takes good quality photos at 1600X1200 and is best suited to close up images rather than things like scenery, although it will cope with this. There is also the interpolated 2048X1536 mode for this if necessary. The digital zoom is rather disappointing and gives fairly poor quality pictures above about 1.5X zoom. The camera takes reasonable quality photos in low-light conditions, even without the flash. The video capture is fairly good, although there is no facility for recording sound. I bought this camera mainly to use on my lads holidays and nights out and it proved ideal in terms of its size because I could slip into my pocket and nobody knew it was there. However the quality of pictures taken in pubs or nightclubs were often poor if the camera is not held completely still for long enough. Even when on night mode the pictures often came out blurred becuse of the cameras slow shutter speed! This problem can be reduced though by increasing the sensitivity levels on the menu screen which is very simple. All round this camera takes an excellent quaity picture if in the correct shooting mode and is excellent value for money.

A great camera to use with many features. You CAN alter the ISO down to 125 which is standard film speed but to capture a moving image the multi-picture(burst) option is probably best. It can also be used for video conferencing for those into that.

I have had use of two of these since mid 2002. Then they were marvels for their size and have reasonable buil;d quality. The mnarket has moved on a lot since then and these are, even at £60, terrible value now. Video and pictures are extremely low resolution and the built in screen is impossible too see in almost all light conditions. The software suite and accesories are good but for this much money, in february 2004, you can do a LOT better at the same price. The new polaroid cameras offer 3 megapixel resolution, beter build and software, far more memory for about the same price in argos. Good idea when launched, overpriced dinosaur now. Do not waste yourt money!
