The phone looks stylish and the length of the USB lead is OK if you have a front socket on your desktop or keyboard. After several frustrating attemps the CD failed to install. I tried to download the software from the weblink suggested but there is no trace of SkypeMate, so it was not a helpful tip after all. Due to the problems with the installation, the use of the USB phone was extremely limited: it only worked as a 'phone shaped'MICROPHONE - disappointing and not a bargain! Soon after submitting my review and 2 star ratings I stumbled upon a SkypeMate software and gave it a go. THE PHONE WORKS NOW! Had high hopes that this would banish the need for a skype phone and allow me to be handsfree. Plug in and play and installed with skype like a dream. However was crestfallen to note that I could not leave the vicinity of the computer and roam my small home. I think it is doubtful that it offer 10m bluetooth 'roaming'. Sent it back and got myself a netgear dulaphone and I am very happy as it has speakerphone and a headset jack option.

I just bought Two of these phones. I must Warn that they are CURRENTLY NOT VISTA COMPATABLE. The one that works on my XP machine is great. I am now having great problems getting the other item returned, as it is of no use unles it works with VISTA.

This product is one of the best headset available in this market for its price and sound quality. I frequently use Skype/VOIP calls to abroad for long conversation with my family/business, and this product never let me down in terms of sound quality (input&output). The only downside of this product (may be only me though) is that my ears starts feeling uncomfortable after wearing too long (it may be, because I have big ears? Please do not take me wrong. There are nice comfy padding on the ears and the top of the head, as shown in the picture). I have already tried few headsets (logitec, etc) but this one is so far the best. Good product.

Bought this unit for a family member but wanted to test it before giving it away. Unit comes in a small box with some Instructions (not that one expects to use these.... really?) and a CD (also not expected to use it, but...read on) Connected it to one old laptop which is used for this kind of tasks (always on, during the day at least) which has Skype installed. Installation is as easy as plugging it into a free USB port. If you plan to use a USB hub bear in mind that you will need a powered one!!! WindowsXP recognizes the phone as a Audio USB Device (what ever that means). After a minute or so it's all done. Started Skype and on the unit's LCD I could only see CHECK PC. Nothing else would ... I was eager to try out this phone after waiting a week for the "next day before 3pm" delivery and first impression was of a neat wee device, no problem to set up. But it went downhill from there. The base station had an annoying buzzing sound at all times. The speaker also had a background noise which interfered and prevented me hearing the other party properly. However they did say that they could hear me fine. But Skype call quality was appalling and after a few tries I sent the phone straight back. Hanging up the aztech skype call and using skype on a PC (connected to the same broadband router) gave perfect sound quality so I blame the phone. 2 main draw backs = 1: The hearing volume is very very low. Mostly i have to use speaker phone option. 2: the bluetooth is crap its not like on mobilephones, its not much compatiable with other devices and hard to use. I am using this at my work , but have panasonic at my home and what, Better to buy Panasonic they r the best.

I bought this phone after trying numerous voip phones. As i come from South Africa and have to go back soon, my boyfriend (who lives in UK) and i decided that the phone bill from the last time i was away is just too high! This is a fantastic phone - we use it with Skype and dont pay for the calls. Its brilliant! Its handsfree and easy to use. Only downfall is i could not get it to work with MSN Messenger as advertised..but thats no biggie. I would highly recommend this phone! Have just bought 2 more for the rest of our family :)
