I've just installed this router as an upgrade from a Belkin Cable/DSL Gateway Router F5D6231-4 connected to cable Virgin Media thatb I've used for several years. I wanted to extend signal coverage to some of the further away rooms in the house as well as the garden, and make use of the faster wireless network speed (max 300 mbs up from 11 mbs). Following the quick setup up guide, and with the setup utility, it worked first time, straight out of the box, and has extended coverage just like I needed. The wireless LAN speed is defintely quicker, although I haven't dome any serious testing yet. One of the reasons I chose Belkin is because of their lifetime support. I found this realy easy to setup, works fantasticly with vista and I get my full bandwdth through it, something my old router could'nt handle.

Quick installation guide is written in such bad English it's barely comprehensible so if you're not experienced with WAPs you're going to be tearing your hair out.

I got it working with my Draytek router (eventually), but it seems to average at 40% packet loss which makes it agonisingly slow most of the time. Thought it might be a linux problem but, no, it sux on Windoze too.

It's set up according to their helpline's instructions so I suppose this is as good as it gets. Looking at it nervously and waiting for it to clap out altogether.

The one thing to be said for it is that the phone support was good. That'll teach me to buy cheap wireless equipment.
