This is a rugged WifFi adapter for your laptop. Again - like the other products in the BT Voyager range, it is easy to install. I used one of these for 2 years, the card eventually broke - but it always took a bit of a beating as the card added to the width of my laptop and it got knocked every time I put my laptop back in it's case. I'm surprised it lasted to long considering! I did notice towards the end that the driver software for this was becoming more difficult to find on the BT.com website, but I'm sure that if you really need it you'd be able to connect to the web (via LAN cable!) and search for it - alternatively, don't lose the bundled CD-Rom like I did!!!

Purchased in December ( - for twice as much!). It's fast and quick to connect, and topping up is easy by buying your top up voucher as you would for your phone. Bonus that the '3' network is pre-pay, no contract!! Just £10 for a months use when you want is pretty cheap! It's perfect for in the CITIES. Though, it consistently failed to connect in MANY small towns in Cornwall and Scotland, which made buying it for travelling about the UK a bit pointless (- as in the big cities there were cheap wifi cafes anyway!) Make sure you thoroughly check the coverage in the area you are going to use it to get good value!

i bought this for our student suniona nd it works fantastically. set up was instantaneous and its worked fantastically well. i have yet to have a problem with it. it's range seems to be VERY good. and certainly a good 40m within a very densely constructed building. well worth the minimal investment.

First off, Amazon delivered this product WITHOUT a UK mains plug ( didn't even realise this was legal?) So after having gone to Maplin to buy an adaptor for the 2 pin plug, I've followed the instructions to set this up as an "extender", after it detected my wifi netwrok, and prompted me for my WEP key, refused to connect. I called the supplied help line ( apparently open weekends?!) and suprise suprise, the number doesn't exist... I will be returning this useless product to Amazon.....

As the other reviewer states, this does not have MAC address filtering which would have been a nice touch seeming as most other maufacturers do include this security feature. If you hide your SSID and use WPA security, it's about as secure as you're going to get it any way. I set it up manually and it was so easy. If you are not comfortable delving into the manual settings, just follow the instructions on the included CD and you'll be set up in about 5 mins. The range is better than my old Netgear router too. WPA wireless security was simple to set up also and took no time at all. I use both the wireless fuctions and I have my main PC wired to the router and both perform well altough as it's just 'G' rated, the range is nothing ... Read More:

Got this back in Feb, and it was OK, but nothing special..since that i wish i have never got it.... it reset's itself when the mood takes, and freezes regally.. when you try to switch it off and back on, it simple sits with a dull light on the internet connection.. leave it half hour and it strikes up again until the next time it freezes, which should not take too long..very disapointed, and only 3 month guarentee...cleaver timing that..as thats the time it start to act up..Avoid
