This is the best book ever! I hadn't even taken delivery of the icecream maker before my son snatched the book from me and made Chocolate Brownies and Giant Cookies. THe recipes are simple, fun and very tasty. Great for all the family!

I was so excited when I received this book, all the recipes are amazing! I have made two of the cakes within this book, and I have to say I have never made such delicious and rewarding (let alone massive) cakes! Thank you Magnolia for this book it is lovely.

I have most of Delia's book but this is the first book from "the Delia Collection" that I have read and used. Firstly it is a beautiful book to look at. The cover, photography and very easy to follow recipes. Secondly the recipes are stunning. Some of them I have baked before from her other books but just using this book is a pleasure so I use it for even familiar recipes. All of them have been well received. Thirdly, even though the majority of the recipes are in previous books, it is a very handy to have the best of her baking recipes in one volume.

This is a splendid book in every way except its organization. The whole subject of making ice cream, sorbet and similar desserts is covered in a thorough manner. However if you have a few ingredients at hand and want to 'knock up' a quick pudding, this is perhaps not the book for you. Many recipes require quite specialized ingredients and equipment. The index is not very helpful and there is no indication of the relative difficulty of the recipes.

this is one of the best and as usual delia keeps it simple

Although short on recipes (but the basic recipes do include ideas to vary them eg adding lemon zest etc) the designs are all so pretty with lots of lovely photos - and look easy to do. Perfect if, like me, you just want lots of cute, fun ideas that you don't need to be an expert to make yourself.

This book should really be called '101 Fruit Dessets' - the majority of receipes use fresh fruit and had I known this, I would not have purchased it! I'm a big fan of the 101 series as the recipes really do work and the books are a real bargain considering what you get! However, unless you're after a book of fruit desserts, I would say buy 101 Chocolate Treats or 101 Cakes & Bakes both of which have an enormous variety of cakes, biscuits and indulgent desserts to try!

This is a great book. Many recipes are given in the more traditional Italian "gelato" technique (made with a cooked egg custard) and in an egg-free version. Almost all recipes have several suggested variations, so there's no excuse not to ring the changes. Unfortunately, Weinstein doesn't spent much ink explaining the theory and techniques of icecream making, nor are there any inspirational pictures inside the book. This would make a great guide for anyone who's understood how their icecream machine works and needs a wide selection of recipes to call on.

Just Desserts, is written by the accomplished and talented three Michelin star chef Gordon Ramsey. As the name suggests, it's a cook book filled with recipes for the best part of a meal - - desserts. It is the first book written by Gordon Ramsay I've ever purchased, and if his other books are as impressive as this one, then I guess I'll be buying the whole lot. While it's not the single best cook book I've ever seen, it is definitely the best dessert book and puts all others to shame. Gordon Ramsay is very passionate about food in general, and while I don't really picture him being big on desserts, I found almost all his desserts to be... mouth-watering to say the least, even the desserts I don't like, sound and look great. Having already experienced May Clee Cadman's fabulous cakes I was of course drawn to her book which is as beautiful as her cakes. The instructions are clearly presented and I've already made one of her simpler cakes and the result was not baaad! All my friends were sooooo impressed. Thank you to May for sharing her skills with us.
