This is a great book for making birthday cakes for your Bob fan. I am in business as a cake maker and found these cakes inspirational, they are also designed with novice decorators in mind (Bobs face cake & theme cupcakes). Good step by step instructions and lots of pictures showing each stage.

As the other reviewers have stated, this really should be out on the coffee table as it's just lovely to look through - I have honestly never seen such a superb looking cook book! However, I'm afraid I actually use mine for (horrors!!) cooking, and it is just as good to use as look at. The chocolate blackout cake alone is worth the money... I've lost count of the amount of times I've made it now, and it is by far the most requested one I have. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the slightly patronising tone the book is written in with regards to the decoration of cakes. Basically, throughout the book you are told (and obviously these are my words not hers) 'I do it this way, but I'll dumb it ... Read More:

Very very disappointing. A poor adaptation of a "hand-made" bread recipe book converted to a bread machine book, by virtue of the addition of the words at the start of each recipe "place all ingredients in your bread maker bucket in order specified by the manufacturer". Less informative than the instruction booklet received with my bread machine. I was tempted into purchasing this book a) by its Title and b) by the resume given of the recipes. Have passed the book to a friend who bakes her own bread and begun a new search for a proper bread machine recipe book.

the two books above have been indespensible in my kitchen and ive had library copies ive been hanging onto for nearly a year because they are out of print and very hard to find at a resonable price! then i find these both for a quarter of what it would cost to buy secondhand im so chuffed , buy it before it goes ,it is probably the only machine bread book you will ever need and the recipes taste so good!. the pictures are there for every recipe.
