This book has a really nice feel about it. You really get the sense the auther REALLY loves pizza. The first part is the story of his jornery finding the best pizza in italy and america. As a brit I have to say I found the italian section really interesting but lost intrest soon after he starts his search in america which is two thirds of the first part. But that is just me I would rather know about true Italian pizza that which pizza shop in new york does the best pizza. The second half of the book goes into great detail about making dough and has about 8 (off the top of my head)diffrent recipes. One thing I did find is he talks about a neo-neoplian pizza which you have to read the first part of the book to know ... Read More:

Wow what a change to my bread making this book is going to make. Previously I had searched the net for different recipes and always found them too salty or too heavy. Usually using a breadmaker to prove and mix the dough then baking by hand I have never been that impressed with the results. After watching the included DVD and starting with the basic white recipe and new technique for working bread by hand this book really has changed my opinion of home made bread and given me the confidence that I can make bread to be proud of.

This book is wonderful. Aside from Chocolate wedding cakes it has many other interesting ideas for centrpieces that could be used for any celebration. It also gives details of different types of chocolate and clear insructions how to achieve all the the different effects. Nicely written and lovely clear photographs also help.

I have found this book really excellent for the unusual needs and wants. Whether an avid cake matter or an occassional hobbist. I am amazed to see some as second hand as this is the book to keep. When all else fails, then you can dip back into this one. Her other book on running a cake business is a must have too.
