I own this book, and I have to say that this is the best. The puff pastry recipe is remarkable, and many of the recipes turn out well. If you want to have professional recipes, this is the one.

As someone who burns boiled eggs, I found the ideas in this book gave me great results with very little effort! Really easy to understand and follow.

An easy coffee table type of book to read over a couple of evenings. Anyone with a bit of basic commonsense will find this book very much states the obvious throughout - if you've already got this far contemplating this type of business then this book won't tell you much (if anything) you haven't considered already. For me, the main disappointment was the only very slight mention of the web/internet and mail order. The author talks extensively about creating 'brochures', but fails to understand and therefore mention, the power of internet selling and how this affects most businesses nowadays. Some creative ideas and attractive photos, but definitely not a book I'll be using again. Both the Egg-Free Cupcakes and Chocolate Brownie Cupcakes I tried turned out to be a disaster, not to mention a huge mess in the oven and using much more of the ingredients than necessary. If you're looking for recipes that produce exactly what they're supposed to, I would advise you to choose a different book.

This book is so useful for beginners and experts alike. Before making my birthday cake from this book, I had never made anything more exciting than a basic victoria sponge. The gorgeous designs make you so enthused to bake, I have already planned to make other cakes, and am investing in cake smoothers, different sized tins and food colouring!!! I would highly reccommend it!!

I have been using this book for some years, I find it useful for all the recipes that are dairy free, I love baking muffins with the kids, they are so easy to do, and the banana,oat,raisin loaf is yummy!

My boss had told a friend that her staff would bake something for her bring-and-buy sale in aid of charity. It was nice of her to volunteer us, unfortunately I (and most of the staff) don't cook very much. Walking through a local homestore a few days before the sale, I spotted this book and thought 'Everyone likes muffins!' I did a taste-test on my flatmates with 2 varieties (the summer berry and white choc, and the triple choc fudge-heaven on earth!), 12 of each. They were all gone in 24 hours. I live with 3 women. The recipes are clear and easy to understand (even to a complete no-hoper like me!), with australian terminology explained at the start of the book for overseas readers.
