Good though the history of donut making is, this book did not llive up to it's promise of telling me how to make Krispy Kreme donuts! I've made several other recipes, but KK still elludes me!

I love this book - everything I have made from it has come out as it should have! The ingredients aren't too exotic, and there's a good variety of recipes. There is a good mixture of simple and fancy things to make. The only difficulty I had was that quite a few of the recipes contained nuts (I live with someone with an allergy) but in a lot of cases the nuts weren't a crucial part of the recipe anyway. I love this series of books, and this is my favourite so far!

Like the previous reviewer, I ordered both 'baking with passion' and 'exceptional cakes' at the same time. I was quite annoyed until I tried the recipes and then I was blown away. We've tried almost half of the recipes from 'exceptional cakes' and without fail the instructions are clear, concise and the cakes are AMAZING. We are working our way through them all and haven't found one we didn't like!!! They might seems complicated and time consuming when you read the instructions but follow them step by step and the results are the same as the illustrations. I would definately recommend this book....and I just gave the other one to a friend!!!

Would recommend this for all cake decorators, some items may be beyond the scope of the novice, but the book sets the standard. Some brilliant ideas and all should enjoy it and aim to acheive some of the wonderful results.

Some creative ideas and attractive photos, but definitely not a book I'll be using again. Both the Egg-Free Cupcakes and Chocolate Brownie Cupcakes I tried turned out to be a disaster, not to mention a huge mess in the oven and using much more of the ingredients than necessary. If you're looking for recipes that produce exactly what they're supposed to, I would advise you to choose a different book.

A lovely cookery book from a fabulous cafe/bakery in Paris! The best granola recipe ever!Great,honest wholesome food.

This book gets a one star rating because I expected much more from this book. There are only 8 pages of colour photos, and the rest are black and white. I like to see a picture of each recipe in colour so I know what the final product should look like but not all the recipes include a picture in fact very few do. Also, if you are looking for secrets regarding their infamous cupcakes you can get the recipe for the cupcake and frosting online for free. So don't bother buying the book if that is your sole reason for making the purchase. The delicious looking cover tempts you but there isn't anything special inside the pages. I would pass this one.

I bought this book expecting it to be full of idea's that I would never be able to achieve but could look at and aspire to, how wrong I was, this book is full of step to step instructions that take you right by the hand and guide you to make the cakes and pastries that you have always aspired to make but didn't think you would ever be able to achieve...... an excellent book for expert and novice alike.... bravo.
