An absolutely great find. For somone who's not very confident with making dough or bread, having had all sorts of disastors when it comes to making cakes. This really is a fantastic book. It's given me a lot of confidence, with making my own dough, bread and cakes. If you stick with the measurements in the recipe the results are always consistantly good.

An absolutely great find. For somone who's not very confident with making dough or bread, having had all sorts of disastors when it comes to making cakes. This really is a fantastic book. The Remoska mini oven is a truly great appliance, so I was slightly disappointed with this cookbook as something a bit more detailled and visually enticing would market the product itself so much better. Saying that, if you are completely new to the Remoska, this is a useful book to have. There are some nice recipes in here, and it does give some helpful practical advice with caring for the appliance, cooking times etc. However, I have found I am more inclined to improvise upon the given recipes as opposed to following them to the letter. A major drawback for me personally, was the lack of accompanying photos for the recipes meaning sometimes I had absolutely no idea what to expect when I was cooking something - particularly daunting ... Having recently bought a bread making machine and having made some of the recipes in the manufacturers recipe booklet (some, not quite so successfully), I decided to get a recipe book and this was the one I chose. Having had a good read through the introduction and inwardly digesting the art of bread making, I embarked upon my journey of baking the perfect loaf. I received a rice cooker as a Christmas present last year but we only eat rice 2-3 times a week max so I decided to try this cookbook to see if we could utilise it a bit more. I haven't tried many of the recipes yet but the ones I have have been absolutely delicious! I especially recommend the old fashioned rice pudding recipe and the turkey and bean chilli, although I used chicken instead of turkey. I love rice pudding but can never be bothered to make it usually so was extremely happy to find that my rice cooker is capable of making it with minimal effort on my part.

I'm surprised by the previous reviewer who had problems with these recipes. I bought this book more or less at the same time as I bought my breadmaker and, although I didn't have any experience initially, I have found that all of the recipes I've followed from this book have worked well and been delicious. I'm particularly partial to the coarsegrain mustard bread, which seems to go with everything, and the coconut ice bread is lovely with curries. I like this book so much that I am buying copies for friends and families too.
