This is the first book I bought after getting my slow cooker and I wish I'd bought the other one (New recipes for your slow cooker by Annette Yates) first. It's got some nice recipes in there but not what I would call "normal" in that it's not got loads of stuff in there that everyone would want to eat. I suppose I mean it's a bit fancy for me.

Maybe in the future I'd use it more but it's just not for me at the moment.

Very very disappointing. A poor adaptation of a "hand-made" bread recipe book converted to a bread machine book, by virtue of the addition of the words at the start of each recipe "place all ingredients in your bread maker bucket in order specified by the manufacturer". Less informative than the instruction booklet received with my bread machine. I was tempted into purchasing this book a) by its Title and b) by the resume given of the recipes. Have passed the book to a friend who bakes her own bread and begun a new search for a proper bread machine recipe book.

I find the bean timing chart extremely useful, although I need to add up to 5 minutes to all cooking times to achieve non-crunchy results.
The layout of the variatons does not make fluent cooking. I had to frequently refer backwards and forwards in fear of missing my moment to add x, y or z ingredient.
Although the chilli recipe on page 140 was lovely, I was extremely disappointed to find that Lorna recommended using tinned beans in the variation. Is this not exactly why one is using a pressure-cooker?
As it is an American book, the ingredients are only in Imperial measurements. It would have been useful to have printed Metric measurements as well.
