This book isn't even geared up to use an aga, it is fairly useless for cooking of any type. One example, Seared Lamb Fillets..Laura James says in the ditty with the recipe that this shows how fab the simmering oven is...this recipe only uses the boiling plate and roasting oven!! I think Laura James either only has an aga for her pets to sleep next to or somebody else clearly does the cooking in her house.
There are very many other great Aga recipe books that are much more useful than this one,and in my view the pictures are not even that appetizing so you cant even enjoy flicking through it. Pathetic!

I just love this book! I was pretty new to juicing, smoothies and fresh herb teas before I bought this book. But now - I love it and this book definitely made it easy for me to learn. Reading about the medical use of different herbs, vegetables and fruit was very interesting for me. And the recipies - yes, some of the ingrediences can be difficult to find, but not impossible. And if you can not find them, just stick to the once you can find close to you. There are plenty of recipies to choose from in this book and they are easy to make. No problem with the measuring scale - there is both US and European scale and it's easy to work with. It's a shame this book doesn't have more advertising, so people would notice it - this book IS definitely ... Read More:

Containing over a thousand tried-and-true recipes from cooks all over the country, this cookbook provides easy slow cooker meals, all with reduced fat and reduced salt. Substitutions are the key here, with reduced fat ingredients such as turkey sausage and ground turkey, in place of beef, and lowfat cuts of pork, skinless and boneless chicken breasts, and low-fat cuts of beef in place of the higher fat cuts normally used. Low-fat condensed mushroom and chicken soup (canned), low sodium barbecue sauce, low-fat or nonfat cheeses, and low-sodium tomatoes and tomato sauce replace the usual products.

The soup section is the largest section, and there are over twenty-five versions of chili. Desserts feature fruit, rice pudding, and bread ... Read More:

Food and Drink : The Complete Bread Machine Cookbook
This book is great, beautifully illustrated and with a great variety of mouthwatering recipes. Unfortunately, having read the reviews, I bought this book for the gluten-free chapter and was very disappointed - every single gluten-free recipe calls for a particular brand of gluten-free bread mix . I was hoping to learn how to make bread from gluten-free flours; I don't want shop-bought packet mixes full of additives. I'm afraid I've docked a single star for disappointing me in this respect! The book also has a dairy-free chapter and that looks more promising. Otherwise, for 'normal' bread, I would recommend it!

It's true what they say "you learn something new everyday".
I had no idea that microwave cooking could be so versatile. Having just become a Mother for the first time, I cannot wait to try the play dough when my son is a little older...(or is that just an excuse for me to have fun! A fantastic, colourful, easy to read and follow book. Super recipes for families, students, children, the elderly..anyone! A must have..especially for Christmas.

This book is a collection of recipes and ideas using those little counter-top rotisserie ovens, and not for an ordinary cooker with a rotisserie attachment. As such, it is fine for ideas using whole joints, but a set of kebabs using 6 separate skewers, for example, ain't gonna work!
It is also American, and therefore printed on newspaper with not-very-good illustrations - it looks like a book one might have bought during the sixties! Also, being American, it measures in "cups" and ounces, and uses terms for some ingredients that aren't always immediately recognisable, and some ingredients that are not readily available in UK.
That said, it does contain an awful lot of ideas which could be used in a conventional oven, so if you are keen ... Read More:

Food and Drink : Ainsley's Big Cook Out
This is a different type of thing! As Erlandson takes you by the hand and, like a prep school teacher, explains everything, so Ainsley explodes from the page with his contagious enthusiasm and you can almost hear his voice as you read his words! The photography is sensational in itself and the recipes are so simple to follow (and genuine- my wife is a hesitant Barbecuer, preferring to let me cook, but she has had no problems following Ainsley's instructions). Try saying Succulent Seared Scallops or Lazy Lemon Rubbed Steak without your mouth watering! It's fabulous, it's fun, it's summer and get those charcoals burning! Even if the summer turns out to be a damp squib most of these recipes work in a kitchen, especially with gas, so get this book in your ... Read More:
