This book looks fantastic with some very interesting-looking recipes if you are American. The ingredients list using only cups makes it very difficult to convert for an English person. I could not work it all out I am afraid, despite trying hard. I am sure it would be a great book for someone who understands the cups measuring system.

I purchased a dual rice cooker/slow cooker, mainly for the rice bit, but on looking for recipes suitable for a slow cooker I plumped for this book for starters. Unfortunately this book is just an updated version of an old book first published around 30 years ago, so the recipes are a bit "living in the 70s" (beef bourguignon anyone?). Slow cooking seems to be undergoing a bit of a revival, but we really need some new recipe books with more sophisticated recipes and flavours for more modern tastes.

This book has loads of recipies in it, however it is by an American author and some of the ingredients are not known over here. I'm sure there are alternatives to these ingredients..? But there are some recipes that look pretty good to make and the ingredients are all readily available. I would have preferred to look for a book by a British author, but must have missed this here.....

A no-nonsense easy to read and understand cookery book for owners of food processors. All the recipes work very well with good simple ingredients. Excellent mayo recipe which I have used every since first reading it. Please bring it back for sale.

The recipes in this book are easy to follow and taste wonderful. The Steam-Roasted Chicken (page 83) was falling off the bones and was very tender and juicy. The Low-fat Chicken Cacciatore (page 84) was just as wonderful. I had to buy my sister her own copy so she would quit taking mine.
