I've owned this book since 1972, then gave it to a friend. Now ordering another. Excellent fish brine! Unfortunately there is no index and a confusing "table of contents" but after I've brined and smoked over 1000 lbs of salmon/stugeon with rave reviews I would say it is a book worth the cost. A great seasoned salt recipe is also included.

The recipes that I have tried in this book work very well. All were delicious, and yes, some don't turn out as 'pretty' loaves, but they tasted terrific. It is always the case that a loaf will sometimes fail; I have pondered the reasons for this many times, and not come up with a good answer. However, maybe 98% of the loaves come out of the machine delicious. This is an excellent book.

This book has loads of great recipes. I have only had it a couple of days but have already tried a few with great results, plenty of tips and hints this makes a good book for a novice through to an expert. Unlike others I have found it easy to find gluten powder locally in the UK (250g cost me 74p), try an 'easy weigh' type shop or a bread flour specialist shop.

At last a book that tells you what to do with these trendy clay outdoor pots which keep you warm but also tell you how to use them as a barbecue and smoker! Very easy to follow illustrations and nice photos give lots of background and hints, tips and info for people whatever they eat and however skilful they may be at cooking. A great aid for me and the family who now live in Spain and get much more use out of this Mexican clay pot than we ever thought possible!

I just love this book! I was pretty new to juicing, smoothies and fresh herb teas before I bought this book. But now - I love it and this book definitely made it easy for me to learn. Reading about the medical use of different herbs, vegetables and fruit was very interesting for me. And the recipies - yes, some of the ingrediences can be difficult to find, but not impossible. And if you can not find them, just stick to the once you can find close to you. There are plenty of recipies to choose from in this book and they are easy to make. No problem with the measuring scale - there is both US and European scale and it's easy to work with. It's a shame this book doesn't have more advertising, so people would notice it - this book IS definitely worth the money!!! ... Read More:
