This book makes you into someone who can wow! your friends... With really good looking, taste, but so so simple... The book is laid out with easy too follow instructions... Sometimes only four easy steps... As I said its Stir Frying For Idiots, and the lazy or persons with no free time... It even tells you what type of wok to buy, and how to look after it! Its worth having even if you only take some of the info, it will give your cooking more WOW! Guys, just use it to wow the ladies... Hope this help you? Regards Marcus

A very disappointing book . It reads more like a sales brochure for AGA products than a subjective unbiased insight into what you need to buy and what you don't . Reading this book you would spend all your money on only AGA branded products . It also states that you should only buy new AGAs even though AGA themselves are associated with a company who renovates old ones. I have a lot of Le Creuset and Cousances cast iron pots and pans which are perfectly suitable for using in AGAs . This fact wasn't even mentioned in the book.

Simple Slow Cooker Recipes (Better Homes & Gardens) This isn't the greatest slow cooker book but is a nice accompaniment to the Simple slow cooker recipe book. buy both and you won't be disappointed. at least i wasn't

This is a little book, nothing misleading in the title or physical size. What I find astonishing is that every other page just consists of a number in a large font which refers to the tip on the facing page, which in most cases is barely half full, and then only because some words, singly, are in a large font. Tips include (11 summarised) use an oven timer so you know when something needs checking. Some tips are actually useful, but this book is sized to disappoint in my opinion but then its only £2.79, its put me off other books by the author.

If you buy one recipe book for Slow Cookers, buy this one. I bought two others as well and this is by far the best of the lot. The recipes sound and look wonderful and turn out just like it says in the book. Plus, not having used a Slow Cooker before, there is lots of useful advice on how to use it. A 'must buy' for anyone with a Slow Cooker. Fantastic.

I havent had chance to use it but after reading it it doesnt sound very helpful, it has tips on all the exotic things people do at xmas, not really helpful for the traditional christmas dinner cook!

I do wish I had read the first review below before investing in this book! Even at Amazon's great price, it is an expensive purchase if you already own some of Amy's books, despite the handful of `new` recipes, but the author does make this quite clear in her introduction, copied here for the benefit of other readers:- `It has been five years since my first AGA book, `AGA Cooking' was published. The first book was a huge learning curve and its publication was one of the nicest things that has ever happened to me.
