I have found this book invaluable.It contains a wealth of information for users of the microwave with convection oven and grill options. The instructions cover most foods and methods relevant to our every day cooking . The basic recipes really work and eliminate guesswork and elaborate calculations. I would not be without it.

*** This recipe book is a superb addition to anyone's culinary library - clearly not every recipe will suit every person but it is inconceivable that you would not find a significant number of useful recipes in here and even if you found just one nugget, then considering the price, it would be well worth it. The variety of recipes in the 1000 series is simply staggering - to say you are stuck for choice is an understatement. The added bonus here, of course, is that they are microwave recipes, so whilst not quite instant, they are certainly fast. You really cannot go wrong with any of these recipe books. I've rarely used my slow cooker in the past, except for beef chilli for my husband. I had limited expectations (although I don't know why), but this book has turned up trumps. There's a whole mix of recipes (1-2 hours, 6hrs, savoury, sweet) and most include everyday ingredients that probably hit your shopping list anyway. A few recipes; Lentil Dhal with onion, cumin and garlic Spicy Chick Peas in a a tomato sauce with rosemary Vegetable Casserole with thyme and cheese dumplings Spiced Couscous with apricots, feta and pine nuts Butter Bean and Pasta Casserole with gremolata Sticky Toffee Pudding Some recipes require you to fiddle a fair bit but most recipes are a total breeze, and ideal ... This is a lovely thick book packed with recipes but they are all in American quantities, i.e. cups. Personally I find this difficult to use and had to download a conversion chart off the web.

This revised book is definitely worth having if you make pasta at home using a hand-rolling machine. It focuses more on pasta dough recipes and instructions for the use of your machine than sauce recipes. Good points: It emphasizes the importance of using durum semolina rather than general flour. This is critical if you are to get a great result. All other books and even machine manufacturer instructions don't mention this important fact or even suggest using high protein content flour (bread making flour) if you can't find durum semolina. When I first started flicking through this book, it seemed to me that almost every recipe included cheese; ok, I had started at the beginning with the snacks and starters, so maybe that wasn't so strange (72% of these recipes included cheese), and the next section - Veg and pasta dishes - well you'd expect to be a bit cheesy, though with 66% containing cheese it still seemed a bit much. Anyway, I felt I'd be out of the cheesy woods when I got to the fish dishes, but no... 66% of these also included cheese. Ok, so on to the meat & poultry section. Surely I'd left the cheese behind now. And the first recipe was... This is a nice little book with some lovely simple recipes in. My favourite is the lamb and apricots dish - which tastes so delicious (great with cous cous). The nice thing about this book is that the ingredients are easy to get hold of, the recipies are straightforward, and best of all the ingredient quantities are expressed in measurements familier to the british cook (no cup measurements)! Would recommend this to anyone.

This is a nice little book with some lovely simple recipes in. My favourite is the lamb and apricots dish - which tastes so delicious (great with cous cous). The nice thing about this book is that the ingredients are easy to get hold of, the recipies are straightforward, and best of all the ingredient quantities are expressed in measurements familier to the british cook (no cup measurements)! Would recommend this to anyone.
