Food and Drink : Mastering the Art of French Cooking: Vol 2 (Cookery Library)
This contains many useful techniques supplementing those set out in the first volume of this pair.
A large portion of the book, however, is given over to extremely elaborate recipes requiring copious amounts of time and access to an old-fashioned butcher.

If you don't have a PhD in cuts of meat, then the meat recipes will be tricky.

The actual ingredients suggested in lots of dishes are unimaginative and whole slews of different recipes end up tasting the same, despite massively time-consuming techniques involved.

This book is, however, pretty essential as a complement to the first volume, in order that your training in French cookery be complete.

The book is of more limited use for family cooking ... Read More:

Food and Drink : Healthy Baby and Toddler Foods: The Complete Healthy Diet for 0 to 3 Year Olds
I have only had this cookbook for a few weeks but so far it has provided me with nothing but delicious meals. Not only is it packed with tasty recipes; it is also loaded with good advice about healthy eating and general information about children's nutritional requirements. The recipes are easy and don't contain too many hard-to-obtain ingredients, as so many cookbooks do. They also result in food that the whole family can enjoy without resorting to salt for flavouring...especially important for the little ones. In addition to telling the cook how many children's and adult servings the recipe yields, it explains why each of the chosen ingredients in that recipe are helpful in meeting daily requirements for a well-balanced diet (e.g., the cheese in this ...
