I learned about this book from my local Raw Food Group that has potlucks once a month. My friend and I have served a few dishes from this book at that event and other events and everyone raves about the "eggless egg salad" (I LOVE IT myself). Also, the "raw tacos", "Thai Salad" (another TO DIE FOR recipe) and the "pierogies" are amazing! I can't tell you how many times I've made these recipes.
I think that each recipe in the book has a picture of how it looks prepared. I love that in a cook book! I've definietly gotten my money's worth out of it!

I bought this book along with the Calorie, Carb and Fat Bible 2008 and this little book is the one I have used most. It is easy to use and I found it a lot simpler to understand. If you just want a quick reference guide to help you count calories through the day this is definitely the book I'd go for.

Ok, so I lost 3lbs in the first week but then it dwindled to 1lb a week. At least it is going down! The F2 has a good, straightforward approach to dieting. The comments are believable and commonsense. It is easy to understand and the 'daily menu' section is very helpful. However, you still need willpower and this is the basis of all diets...this is what makes it hard. The F2 will not 'speed up weight loss' but it will be steady away. Good luck but the book is definitely worth a try. After all, even at 1lb per week, in 12 weeks you have lost 12lbs. Now that's not bad!

I write a food column for a little newspaper in Ohio. A man I interviewed avoided surgery and did indeed reverse his heart disease by eating a diet of less than 10% fat. He became so inspired he wrote his own book of low fat recipes!

I can't praise this book highly enough. This is one of the most worthwhile investments of time and money. Whether you're overweight, normal weight, or somebody who is hungry for knowledge, this book would tick all the right boxes for you. To me it was not just a source of fascinating facts, but rather an illuminating reference. The author was wonderful at simplifying complex science into very digestible chunks of useful applicable knowledge.

A good book that provides a great deal of information for its price.

The five chapters are: understanding PCOS, all about carbohydrates and the GI of foods, taking charge, putting the GI to work in your day, and recipes. As well as this there is an A-Z of GI and GL in the form of tables, a good glossary and an easy to use index (including a recipe index separately).

The book is easy to read and will not bamboozle you. When I was first diagnosed this is one of the books I bought and is up there amongst the favourites.

I came to this book in desperation after suffering from chronic sinusitis for years. Anyone who has suffered from this miserable condition will know just how much it can blight your life.
Antibiotics work initially to check this condition but after a while the infection becomes totally resistant, after which the doctors will say "sorry, nothing more we can do". At which point you're on your own.
I spent a fortune on various alternative solutions such as herbalism, salt irrigation, colloidal silver, etc., none of which did any good.
Then I found this book. I don't care how it's written, how poor the illustrations might be, or how cranky the author might appear. For me IT WORKED! By following the dietary advice in this book I am now cured. ... Read More:

Food and Drink : Carol Vorderman's Detox Recipes: Updated and Extended
Totally love this book. Did the compulsory January detox thing and this book saved me from meal time boredom. It's now, what, April? and I'm still using it all the time... particular fave is the recipe for granola... I always have a jar full in the kitchen for a quick breakfast fix.

Vorderman and Bean need to get their heads together and bring us another book with more of the same.

In the meantime, if anyone knows of any other great detox recipe books please let me know!
