I am genuinely excited about this book! When I first received it, I had a thoroughly good look through it and was especially impressed with the chefs profiles and the quality of the photographs which support the text. The many pictures and recipes demonstrate an excellent level of culinary competence. The authors have a real feeling for all things culinary and have created a set of books which should be recommended to all young and aspiring chefs. The book is written with care and diligence with detailed observations and well written explanations of the methods, which is so important when writing a culinary manual. This is a simple and fun christmas cookbook, really more to do with the kids helping, than on your own, although I did manage to add a few twists of my own to make it slightly more adult - like adding a splash of white or dark rum to the truffles, mmm delicious and all the recipes are incredibly simple with only the barest hint of actual cooking involved.

This recipe book has a great range of menus from quick and easy snacks to preparing a full meal. Only criticism I would say is that alot of the recipes don't have pictures, yet there is always space to put a small one in - it's difficult to imagine what these recipes will or should look like when done correctly!

I chose this book thanks to the excellent reviews it got from previous readers - and I have to agree with them! The book is very well layed out and easy to follow. Full of handy hints and enough detail to achieve brilliant results! Great for beginners and even more advanced cake decorators.

This book and it's wonderful chef re-invigorated the Lime industry with these recipes. That aside, this is a brilliant cookery book. Beautifully illustrated of course but then most cookery books are these days. What sets Delia apart is that her recipes work and you don't need to be a Michelin trained chef to complete them. She has great tips on where to buy ingredients and utensils. Highly recommended.

Would recommend this for all cake decorators, some items may be beyond the scope of the novice, but the book sets the standard. Some brilliant ideas and all should enjoy it and aim to acheive some of the wonderful results.
