This is coupled with some fascinating snippets exposing some little known & forgotten history (the Edwardian roots of modern flower arranging & the coded meanings of different types of flowers , Edwardian perfumes, trips to the North West to sample the fare ,Dandelion & Burdock & the like, of a temperance bar & so on) All of this presented by the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall - what a top bloke, I could just sit & listen to him all night. Unless you have absolutely no idea how to cook, this really is to be avoided. I was hoping for some tips from an expert, yet the 'chef' seemed to have got his training from a 'greasy spoon' and not a very good one at that. And although I find the likes of Jamie Oliver to be a little irritating at times, there really is no comparison in terms of skills and entertainment value!!!!

I am a Gary Rhodes fan and I was overjoyed to see that this video was available. Was I disappointed!! There was no logical sequence to this tape. One minute Gary was sitting on a boat to go catch scallops and the next thing you know he was baking a cake! I know Gary is fond of cars and football but this was supposed to be a cookery video!!Definitely not worth purchasing.
