I found various things in this book very interesting and useful. Mainly the recipes using the blender and raw ingredient combinations, the cakes, bars and little extras section (all vegan), the banana bread recipe is really easy and delicious. Also contains interesting info regarding juicing for babies which I hadn't considered until I read this book.

Don't overlook this book just because of the dopey, disproven food combination garbage. This book is a gem, filled with wonderful, easy to prepare dishs, with lots of great ideas. For example, bet you didn't know that simply taking pieces of frozen cantalope and throwing them in a blender produces the most amazingly tasty shake. Yum. If the book didn't waste so much time with idiotic food theories, I would give it 5 stars.

This was an alright book, The recipes weren't very different to most normal cookbooks how ever if you are interested in learning more about organic foods, it has some excellent sections to explain what organic foods are and why you should use them. for this i would rate it 4 stars but for the book as a whole only 3.

I've recently been trying to cut down on my sugar intake and have fallen in love with agave nectar, but there aren't very many recipes or food blogs online that cook with it at all. I bought this book as soon as it was published and I absolutely love it! The book covers breakfast foods, cakes, cookies, pies, sweets, drinks, and a huge variety of sauces, which is exactly what those of us on sugar-free diets crave! I've made the Raspberry Linzer Torte cookies and granola already and both came out so well they disappeared in days. They definitely didn't taste like "health food"! A truly strange cookbook. On the surface, the regional sections seem great, until you speak to people from these far-off places, and realise that they've never heard of such a dish. Authenticity aside, this is much more of a winter book than many veggie cookbooks out there, whjich is brillient. Lots of spicy things and warming, soups, etc. There are lots of sumemr things too, so don't get the wrong idea its just more balanced than most books. It's useless if you're wanting to cook straight from your cupboard, it's more of a special occasion book. It has an excelent at menu planer at the back. I have dozens of cookbooks but this is the one cookbook I have found that has consistently excellent, tasty recipes. As a busy mother of three boys I don't have time for complicated recipes with long lists of ingredients which take hours to make and then somehow... just don't work. These recipes are a snap to put together, so flavorful and a hit every time. Most important, they're healthy and nutritious for both adults and growing children. My family and friends are amazed at my new confidence and skill in the kitchen. I owe it all to this book.
