This is THE greatest veggy cook book I have got. I have bought quite a few and this is by far the best. It gives great basic tips at the beginning on how/what etc and the recipes are great - using all store cupboard stuff and easy stuff that you can get anywhere without hunting too much. Cheap too as promised!! This is the only cook book where I have done more than one recipe from!!!

I bought this book for my Mom who had just been on a one day course in Bristol on how to live with cancer and how food can help. Both my Mom and Dad found the course very useful, so I thought I'd buy them a book that would hopefully back up what they had learnt. This book is fantastic - so my Mom says, it backs everything up that she learnt on her course, and is written in a precise and clear way, that she can understand. The recipes are most useful. One of the authors was actually the tutor on the course, and the other was the oncologist. This book is a must if you are living with cancer and have just found out (like my Mom did) that she is not to have any dairy products in her diet. Well recommended to all.

Sure there are some strange ingredients and recipes in the Oil Protein Coobook. However, if one is seeking excellent health and/or recovery from disease it pays to be a bit adventurous and open minded about food. Give it go even if it sounds and looks a bit odd! You never now, you might love the taste of it. Some ingredients are indeed a bit hard to find, but improvisations are always possible if you are flexible with the recipes. This is an excellent book. My father was dying of cancer and is still alive and well because of flax seed oil and Dr. Budwig's findings.

I was incredibly pleased to finally find a Vegan lunch recipe guide after months of searching amazon and various other websites. The book is written nicely and has lots of fun and creative ideas for lunch boxes. It's not very adult orientated, it's mainly about giving your kids fun and healthy veggie meals but it can be adapted to the more grown up taste. The lunches featured include vegan sushi recipes, mock meat recipes and a wide range of appetisers and desserts. Like the majority of vegan recipe books on the market that I have come across it doesn't have many pictures which I think would make it much more useful and it also has recipes for mainly US mock meats and such which aren't as widely available in Europe. What a fantastic little book this is and you don't have to be vegan to enjoy the recipes because they are great as they are. My husband loves the chilli recipe and I can't make enough of it for him. And what a great idea to make shepherd's pie and lasagne in a slow cooker. I would never have even thought of that. The desserts are delicious too. If you love having more time and to yourself and eating really healthy and tasty meals, then this is the book you need. It's full of receipes from around the world that you can just prepare, throw into the slow cooker and leave to cook all day.
