Food and Drink : Red Wine for Dummies (For Dummies)
I'm almost a complete beginner to wines (other than having discovered by trial and error what I like of the stick at the local supermarket). This book tackles things on the sort of level I'm at, and with the explanations on various grapes I found certain common factors between the wines I really like - useful information when trying to branch out. The problem I found was with the middle portion of the book, where the review of specific wines didn't match our local off-licence that well. I assume that this reflects different wines being available in the UK and the US. It's a shame, because it meant that a fair bit of the book wasn't that useful, but the rest is interesting, accessible and a useful reference.
