Took this book on our second visit to Lanzarote - and wished we'd had it first time round! It was very helpful and much more informative than the guide we used before. Great restaurant info. We discovered some really nice new spots. The Fuerteventura chapter gave us just enough in the way of ideas for us to plan a quick side trip over there. We had fun but now understand why there's only the one Fuerte chapter in the book - Lanza is just SO much nicer (sorry Fuerte fans!!!)

Agree absolutely with Fuerte fan above. Have just returned from the island and found this little book indispensable. It is good on both the mainstream and the more obscure places you might want to visit. It is certainly well organised and easy to use. And so well priced.

If you are only going to drive, then you can pick up a free road map at the tourist information office in the airport, that will show you everything you will need. This map is detailed and mostly accurate, and the street plans of the main towns are quite useful. However, there is a lot of new building work going on in Fuerteventura, and some new roads and "urbanizations" were not on the map at all. It's printed on ordinary paper that will tear easily. By the way, the map is German, published by Kompass-Karten of Innsbruck. The AA just re-badge it. You may find the same map from a number of different distributors.

This restaurant is under new management & is not worthy of a mention in the AA Guide. Under the previous owners it was excellent. The current owner can not possibly call himself a chef. The food we had was awful & the service was just as bad. How this man has the nerve to advertise "Best Restaurant in Corralejo" as seen in AA World Travel (Beggars Belief) AA travel need to delete this entry now to save more customers an unfortunate experience. Regards
