I am writing this review because I love the Tefal Quick Cup and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Both my husband and I use it on a regular basis and after 5 weeks we're still using the original cartridge which I think is excellent. As for energy saving then it remains to be seen if our electric bills go down, but at the same time as buying this kettle we did change all our light bulbs to energy saving ones, but in this climate I guess every little helps. The only downside of the Tefal Quick Cup is how noisy it is, but since its only for a few seconds per cup its easy to put up with. Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto KP210040 Coffee Machine, Black, 15 Bar Pressure Pump Got this machine last week and we haven't stop using it. my wife thinks its fantastic the machine is a little bid noisy but you can live with that. Our last krups coffee machine lasted 15 years and is still going i hope this one lasts as long.Also the machine on Amazon is still the cheapest around.

Makes reasonably good espresso. There are two small problems. 1) As mentioned by other reviewers, the expresso water tank suffers from a serious design fault. If you take it out to refill it then, because of a fault with the valve at the bottom, a significant amount of water leaks out of the bottom of the machine onto the work surface. Contrary to what's been reported by another reviewer, this is NOT solved by ensuring that the tank is replaced 'properly'. Once it's in place the water stops leaking. Therefore a solution to the problem is to fill it in-situ using a jug. I bought this from amazon this week arrived in 2 days free delivery and also got the grinder free, BARGAIN!!!!. Made latte first day and every day since and I am please with the results. Upside - easy to use - follow easy instructions Downside - you have to hold onto the cups or they shake and could fall off the machine - but as it is so cheap it doesnt take much to hold on to the cups for 30 seconds. I would reccomend this if you want to make your own fresh coffee drinks and cannot afford the more expensive machines as it makes perfect drinks

I bought this about 6 months ago and have found it to be quite good, until a few days ago, when I discovered that it could make the PERFECT froth. A lot of people recommend that you warm the milk for a while in the microwave and then froth. But to make this work so as to form milk that is as thick as beaten egg whites, do the following: 1: Use semi-skimmed milk straight from the fridge. 2: Beat the milk vigorously, making sure that you pump only in the bottom 2 inches of the milk (if you come out of the milk with each stroke, it doesn't work). 3: Keep pumping until it starts to get thick (if you are vigorous, this will take about 30 seconds). 4: Pop it into the microwave at full power (800 watts in my case) for 50 seconds. I love MOST things about this, from great tasting coffee, which I prefer to a cafetiere, the lovely bubbly noise of my morning ritual, the great design - but, BUT I do wonder about the aluminium! I banned all alu saucepans from the kitchen, replacing with stainless steel, because of some evidence showing there may be links with micro doses of aluminium (as you get from alu saucepans) and senile dementia/Alzheimer's. This is a really easy to use machine. I have replaced my Tassimo with this one and it is far better. The drinks area actually hot! Really easy to use, no mess. The only thing is that the pods are quite expensive and I have not seen any multi buys on them. But the machine itself is great.
