The shine on this lighter is amazing, like looking in a darkened mirror. I got this because I got fed up with trying to use those disposable lighters which would go out or not even light in the slightest breeze. This lights every time and even in quite forceful winds if u cover it right. The picture doesn't look much like the actual lighter, it's much shinier and almost greyish in colour, but I think that's because of the polish on it. Excellent lighter which also has a lifetime guarantee!

I have had my Zippo for 6 or 7 years now, and I have only ever needed to change the flint once. Don`t let them lure you with they`re fancy despencer style [allthough it is rather nice], because all you need is one flint every few years! You can get single flints at any weaponary/craft/collectio/lighter shop, and even some convenience stores. Don`t be led into thinking that what I`m telling you is purely because I hardly ever use my Zippo - I do, usually on multiple occasions every day for lighting the stove and other stuff. If you are dumb enough to buy all of these flints, I can assure you that you won`t be dissapointed with the quality because they sure work fine. It`s also dead easy to put them into the lighter - even a monkey could do it! ... Read More:

I must add my comments and experiences to this product as it may be helpful to other purchasers. I had problems filling mine so I contacted Ronson and they informed me that due to the type of valve on the candle lighter you have to keep pumping the refill against the bottom of the lighter for it to fill, you cannot just press the refill on and leave it to fill because it will not. After following these instructions I tried again and it worked perfectly, it is a shame that Ronson did not add these instructions to the item. However I have now had mine for over 9 months and it works as well as it did the day it arrived so I have to give the candle lighter 10/10. I hope others find this helpful.

I have just bought the smaller version of this one but it works all the same. Quick and easy. One thing I will say is that to get the fire going you have to get some good, dry leaves, bark etc.
