We saw a similar product on holiday in Turkey, so I sought out these Philips LED Rechargeable Candle Lights on my return last year and shall be buying them for others as Christmas gifts this year. They look so pretty when "lit". You literally just turn them upside down to turn on or off. Great idea if you like candles but have children around.

I was somewhat offput by the cost at first but Amazon cut the price and I decided to buy one and have not since regretted it. Firstly, don't think of this as a light source, it is not, it's designed for mood lighting in an otherwise darkened room. The best way to use it, at least for me, it is to locate it in a corner in a room with white or plain walls angled upwards. You can then just keep on for a pleasant moody atmospheric lighting changing it as the fancy takes you or just allowing it to cycle through its' auto setting. I bought this iron about six months ago and it has worked perfectly since day one. The range of steam settings offers good incremental positions and the no steam setting can be selected with one small movement of the slide. The shape of the face plate seems to suit my shirt size(16)and I think my shirts have never looked better. I iron my shirts box flat when travelling for business or when I have limited space and a work colleague has now asked me three times if my shirt was new! The water reservoir is a bit small and does need refilling fairly frequently otherwise I would have given this 5 stars.

Good product - although it should be noted the finish is more brushed satin than chrome.

We originally bought this because we were fed up with having to blend soup in little batches in our normal jug style blender. I didn't think we'd use the accessories much, but a couple of months down the line and we've used them all. The jug is great for smoothies and its tupperware-like top makes the jug really useful in itself. The turbo boost is hardly ever necessary as the normal speed blends things in very little time. The fact that all the messy bits can go in the dishwasher is excellent. The only tiny complaint I'd have is that our dishwasher seems not to be able to clean right to the bottom of the jug, but I'm sure that's more to do with our dishwasher than the blender! I have had my Phillips GC8220 Steam System Iron for almost a year now. It was brilliant for the first few months or so but I noticed that the water tank was leaking. It started as a trickle and evenually the leak soaked through a well folded towel in next to no time. In my despair I sealed all the joints with stong adhesive glue. It did the trick and I am back ironing as happily as ever. Apart from the leak it does the job of ironing really well.

Yes, it's great that it turns on automatically when it detects motion but why oh why could Philips not gone the extra yard and made it disable itself when it's not dark??? It comes on all day long regardless of the ambient light and wastes the batteries!

I bought this blender elsewhere, but feel obliged to share the review as i am still looking for a hand blender. The chopping attachments are excellent and the variable speeds give good versatality with different ingredients. The blender shaft is efficient and expeditiously blends foods smooth. I used and placed my blender shaft in the dishwasher twice and found that the plastic part came away. The blender shaft has a black insert which is glued to the stainless steel exterior. While I was trying to fit it the stainless steel edge cut my hand. I returned it for a full refund, and it was reported to Philips. I received a letter from them saying that I had misused the product. Was disappointed.

Great all round blender, a little noisy but in terms of looks and build quality it's excellent. No problems so far

Can't really complain for the money. Suppose it does what it says on the tin! A lot better made than similarly priced toasters that I've inspected at supermarkets etc. I was particularly concerned about the clasp that holds it closed as that's what broke on my last sandwich toaster. This one seems pretty good with two levels of grip for thicker or thinner bread/fillings. Seems well made, good quality and durable, although shiny plastic and brushed chrome, while good looking, might not be the best to clean when daubed with melted cheese and grease! Would have been nice to have removable plates, but not likely at this price point. Cooked reasonably evenly but could do with being a touch bigger as quite a bit of my bread ... Read More:
