It works O.K., but the battery compartment cover is very difficult to close and the machine is extremely noisy, as well as taking ages to get the lid off!

I like useful gadgets in the home and decided to purchase what looked like an unique item. Generally I've never been satisfied with Vegetable peeler's until some months back, I found one with a sturdy thick handle and good blade. So I now have two. This model takes 4 AA sized batteries and it't both pretty powerful and feels nice and chunky in the hand. The plastic blade cover is pretty useless and easily falls off. Poor retaining clip - actually zilch clip. To give it a fair trial; I got two young female friends as well as myself to test both peeler's on Potatoes; Tomatoes and Apples. For the price, this is brilliant set of scales. As one of the other reviews said, no longer do you have to bend down to look at eye level - its all there in front of you. I particularly love the setting to zero when u have a bowl on the scales - great. I would recommend these to anyone yay

i agree with most of the comments made....its a disappointed. It constantly leaks and it doesn't matter how hard you hold it together. I have used a small tub and it works alot better. Would not recommend this product to anyone!!!!!

having had a KitchenCraft pasta machine which pretty much broke coming out of the box the imperia is FANTASTIC!!!buy this any day

This does work really well and I wouldn't boil an egg without it now. The colour changes to black (or dark red) gradually from the outside in as the egg cooks, and you just wait until the edge of darker colour reaches the "soft", "medium" or "hard" markings, however you like it. Perfect results every time. We have extremely hard water, but I always use filtered water and have never had a problem. However, a warning if you're colour blind: it might not be quite so useful. My husband is colour blind and he has trouble seeing where the colour has changed.

Looked smart & reliable, worked great, a lovely birthday present. My first ever coffee grinder and it gave me a taste for the real thing so the coffee must have been fine - but it broke down 3 months in! I didn't use it more than once or twice a week, it certainly wasn't overwork. Now have to buy another, so I guess it did some manufacturer some good by getting me hooked, but I'll never buy wahl again.
