I am writing this review because I love the Tefal Quick Cup and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Both my husband and I use it on a regular basis and after 5 weeks we're still using the original cartridge which I think is excellent. As for energy saving then it remains to be seen if our electric bills go down, but at the same time as buying this kettle we did change all our light bulbs to energy saving ones, but in this climate I guess every little helps. The only downside of the Tefal Quick Cup is how noisy it is, but since its only for a few seconds per cup its easy to put up with. Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto KP210040 Coffee Machine, Black, 15 Bar Pressure Pump Got this machine last week and we haven't stop using it. my wife thinks its fantastic the machine is a little bid noisy but you can live with that. Our last krups coffee machine lasted 15 years and is still going i hope this one lasts as long.Also the machine on Amazon is still the cheapest around.

Makes reasonably good espresso. There are two small problems. 1) As mentioned by other reviewers, the expresso water tank suffers from a serious design fault. If you take it out to refill it then, because of a fault with the valve at the bottom, a significant amount of water leaks out of the bottom of the machine onto the work surface. Contrary to what's been reported by another reviewer, this is NOT solved by ensuring that the tank is replaced 'properly'. Once it's in place the water stops leaking. Therefore a solution to the problem is to fill it in-situ using a jug. I got two boxes of these Kenwood filters to use with my Brita kettle, and although they fit into the filter slot they are noticeably slower than the Brita branded cartridges. If you compare the slots around the filter, the Brita ones have many more and will obviously let more water through in the same time. The Kenwood cartridges only have about 8 slots all the way round! Most filter jugs have sloped sides to keep the water level above the wider top openings for as long as possible, however my kettle has quite a flat pre-filter reservoir, so with only one or two cups worth of water it takes a while before you're ready to go (it's not always convenient to fill the kettle in advance) I'll be switching back to Brita once my supply ... I bought this from amazon this week arrived in 2 days free delivery and also got the grinder free, BARGAIN!!!!. Made latte first day and every day since and I am please with the results. Upside - easy to use - follow easy instructions Downside - you have to hold onto the cups or they shake and could fall off the machine - but as it is so cheap it doesnt take much to hold on to the cups for 30 seconds. I would reccomend this if you want to make your own fresh coffee drinks and cannot afford the more expensive machines as it makes perfect drinks

I bought this about 6 months ago and have found it to be quite good, until a few days ago, when I discovered that it could make the PERFECT froth. A lot of people recommend that you warm the milk for a while in the microwave and then froth. But to make this work so as to form milk that is as thick as beaten egg whites, do the following: 1: Use semi-skimmed milk straight from the fridge. 2: Beat the milk vigorously, making sure that you pump only in the bottom 2 inches of the milk (if you come out of the milk with each stroke, it doesn't work). 3: Keep pumping until it starts to get thick (if you are vigorous, this will take about 30 seconds). 4: Pop it into the microwave at full power (800 watts in my case) for 50 seconds. Looked smart & reliable, worked great, a lovely birthday present. My first ever coffee grinder and it gave me a taste for the real thing so the coffee must have been fine - but it broke down 3 months in! I didn't use it more than once or twice a week, it certainly wasn't overwork. Now have to buy another, so I guess it did some manufacturer some good by getting me hooked, but I'll never buy wahl again.
