I love the machine and the coffee but I do not take sugar in my drinks and cannot find any of the drinks with sugar free milk in the boxes. Has anyone found the milk without sugar for this machine if so where?

Thank you

I got two boxes of these Kenwood filters to use with my Brita kettle, and although they fit into the filter slot they are noticeably slower than the Brita branded cartridges.

If you compare the slots around the filter, the Brita ones have many more and will obviously let more water through in the same time. The Kenwood cartridges only have about 8 slots all the way round!

Most filter jugs have sloped sides to keep the water level above the wider top openings for as long as possible, however my kettle has quite a flat pre-filter reservoir, so with only one or two cups worth of water it takes a while before you're ready to go (it's not always convenient to fill the kettle in advance)

I'll be switching back to Brita ... Read More:

This is my second machine within the last 6 weeks. The first one stopped working completely after 3 weeks but Amazon replaced it without question.
PROS: This machine is easy to use. Just pop the disc in the top of the machine, press the button and you have a hot drink in about 60 seconds. The Tassimo is also less messy than the machines that use the ground coffee. With a wide range of discs available, both online and in supermarkets, there's a hot drink to suit everyone.
CONS: The machine doesn't produce drinks like the pictures on the box!! The cappuccino with NOT have a large frothy CAP. In fact, mine don't have any froth. Likewise, with the Latte Macchiato. The milk also tastes awful and I tend to use fresh cow's milk instead, and ... Read More:

I make a lot of coffee: I fill this with beans at least twice a day, every day for the past ten years or so, and this little baby is still going strong. Sure, a burr grinder makes it easier to be precise, but after all this time I'm pretty accurate about the grind time. Some other reviewers have had a different experience, but I can testify that it's at least possible for one of these to last over a decade of constant use.

I love MOST things about this, from great tasting coffee, which I prefer to a cafetiere, the lovely bubbly noise of my morning ritual, the great design - but, BUT I do wonder about the aluminium! I banned all alu saucepans from the kitchen, replacing with stainless steel, because of some evidence showing there may be links with micro doses of aluminium (as you get from alu saucepans) and senile dementia/Alzheimer's. This is the one alu item in my kitchen, and I'm nervously attached to it because it brings back so many memories of my student days, when my best friend on the course, half Italian, introduced me to the delights of morning espresso from a Bialetti - I take a little trip down memory lane each morning with this design classic (losing a few more brain cells with each ... I bought this about 6 months ago and have found it to be quite good, until a few days ago, when I discovered that it could make the PERFECT froth. A lot of people recommend that you warm the milk for a while in the microwave and then froth. But to make this work so as to form milk that is as thick as beaten egg whites, do the following:

1: Use semi-skimmed milk straight from the fridge.
2: Beat the milk vigorously, making sure that you pump only in the bottom 2 inches of the milk (if you come out of the milk with each stroke, it doesn't work).
3: Keep pumping until it starts to get thick (if you are vigorous, this will take about 30 seconds).
4: Pop it into the microwave at full power (800 watts in my case) for 50 seconds. This seems to almost set ... Read More:

An excellent purchase and I would agree with all those who have already posted laudatory remarks.

Can I just add 4 observations

To those who want to know how many cups it provides - We get 295 ml of strong brown liquid from the 6 cup machine ( c. half a pint ).

It takes about 4-5 mins to make the coffee - from absolute start with cold water to drinking coffee. Just enough time to microwave and then foam up the milk using the bodum 1446 device.( we exclusively drink lattes )

Mild-to-firm tamping down is mandatory and crucial to taste - despite the instructions. We use the bottom of a glass tumbler

As regards using finely ground coffee - we don't have a grinder ; we buy Tescos Finest Columbian Supremo ground coffee ... Read More:

Knowing James Martins love of machines(cars)I imagined he would not put his name to anything mechanical if he was not happy with it and so it seems tbe with this little beauty. I have used this grinder for about six months now and have no complaints. Design and build are great and is simple to use,you just keep your finger on the button if you want a stronger brew. Recommended. Standard delivery from amazon took just two days.

Kitchen & Housewares : Wahl ZX595 James Martin Coffee Grinder
A coffee grinder is never going to be exciting, but one that doesn't work well is going to be extremely short-lived. Woe betide any gadget that gets between a 6am troll and his morning brew. I am that troll.

This James Martin branded grinder from Wahl does the job it is designed for, and does it consistently well. I recently used another grinder for a week, which has a dial to choose the fineness of the grind. It was rubbish. Even on the smallest setting it produced lumpy grounds which made a bad brew.

This grinder keeps it simple - press the button to grind, keep going until you are happy. The semi-clear lid lets you see what is going on and comes off with a short twist.

The blades, after 3 months, are as new and the whole thing gives the impression ... Read More:
