This is an excellent Ravioli tray because you can actually get quite a bit of filling in. For the dough we use two cups of flour and two large eggs with a dash of water if needed to feed two adults and a child (or two hungry adults). The trick is to use plenty of flour when rolling out the dough, which makes the dough more papery and less sticky. I roll it fairly thin, but not to the thinnest setting because the amount of filling means you need a slightly stronger pasta to hold it in. Put plenty - and I mean plenty - of flour in the tray before laying the rolled dough in place, then push and ease indentations for the filling. At the time of writing this review, there are two others posted, both of which are overwhelmingly enthusiastic. I agree with everything the authors of those say, but they do not tell the whole story. First, although it may be obvious, the capacity is limited. The instructions tell you to use 3 eggs and split the mixture between the two wells. So, if you want a 2 egg omelette or a 4 egg omelette, tough; it's two one and a half egg omelettes or nothing. Second, fillings. The instructions say to put the fillings first into the heated machine and then add the egg mixture, so the result is not a filling in the traditional sense - the result is more like a Spanish omelette, with the filling distributed through the egg. I have owned this attachment for years, even if I don't use it as often as I would like, but, as for everybody, time is tight! However I find that it works fine, making perfect cavatelli and gnocchetti sardi using the flavoured dough that I make. You just knead the dough a bit on the largest setting of the main machine, then shape it into a rope and pass it slowly into one of the three openings in the attachment according to which kind of pasta you want to make. And that's it. Just let it dry a bit, or freeze it. As with the main pasta machine, you mustn't wash the attachment with water, just wait for the dough to dry and take it or brush it away. I think the description is misleading, because it makes you think you are going to receive the pasta ... Read More:

This product is large but then it does cook a hell of a lot of pasta at once if you need that. Equally it can cook for one person. You fill the removeable bowl with water to the mark, pop it in the base, drop in the basket, fill with pasta (any kind even spaghetti), push the on button, if you need to adjust the time, the default is 10 minutes which give aldente for most pasta so normally turning it on is enough. Once the water is boiling the basket silently drops into the water. It bleeps at 1 minute to go and then once its done. Then the basket silently lifts up and the pasta is drained and keeps warm in the steam.
