Excellent product. Only downside, (and reason for four stars), is when the UK hour changes there is only 1 way to change the clock. Take the batteries out and put them back in, so the time is reset to 12 oclock. So (unless I have missed something) you have to do this at 12 oclock or the clock time part will always be inaccurate. Otherwise very good.

I've owned these scales for a while now. I love the sleek design and zero function !! So easy to use and appear to be very accurate. I like the fact that I can put a bowl on it, press zero, pour in my contents and it gives me my reading. If you are making a mix that requires multiple items, you could click zero again and add the next item.

Nice looking. However, looks are not everything. These scales go up in 2g so to obtain 15g you have to put sufficient on the scale to have it flashing between 14 & 16g. The real disapointment is that the scales are not consistant, I weighed the same item several times and found the readout different. I'm looking for another set to replace these.

Perhaps the lack of hours is a limitation but this is a well thought out unit. It will stand on the fridge (or other metal object) using its magnet as well as on a table. The large display is clear and easy to read. Setting is simple to understand and the large buttons are good for "clumsier hands".

A great set of 'easy to use' scales. Easy to clean, accurate measures and easy storage. All I want now is to know where I can get another bowl from.

I bought this to replace a previous Salter timer which had mysteriously gone 'missing'. This one's very similar, except that the alarm is louder and goes on for longer. That's very useful if you happen to step away for a few minutes. Also, the previous one was only audible if I was in the same room. But this model is quite high pitched, and I can easily hear it from 2 rooms away. If you don't always need the alarm, you can save time and just set it to run, and it will count upwards. For example, if I'm cooking something that needs 2 minutes quick frying, I just press the start button and wait for 2 minutes to pass. I have at least 5 different types of timers dotted all around my house, and this one is the worst I've ever used. Trying to stop the timer while it is going is near impossible, you have to press pause to stop the timer, and then stop and then reset to set it back to zero, or some such idiotic combination. And it is just as complicated to get it started. Moreover it doesn't show you the countdown in seconds, only minutes. In summary, it is very fiddly, a real pain to use and my least favourite of the lot.

From other reviews, I can see that the clip doesn't work well for all ovens, but it works fine in ours. As long as you leave it in the oven (as it takes a few minutes to "acclimatize"), it provides accurate readings and is much more accurate than our oven's built in thermostat (and it's a top of the range Bosch!). Particularly useful for things like Meringues, if you want that perfect color, or for any budding Heston Blumenthals. You'll be amazed how much the temperature in your oven can vary

Wow - a timer has revolutionised our cooking....ok that may be over the top, however I am not sure how we managed before. The magnetic attatchment works fine with the steel splashback over the cooker....and moisture from boiling etc has not caused this device to fail. It has been proven that when cooking it is nigh on impossible to judge time and even though we have several clocks in our kitchen as soon as your mind switches back to the tv, children etc one forgets that something is on the hob/in the oven. The timer's alarm is loud enough to be heard upstairs and goes on long enough that you will pick it up even if in garden.
