Bought one of these when the previous one wore out and needed a new cover asap. Had it for a couple of months and have just ditched it. Bad points: * It's so big that it fits over the whole board including the asbestos bit where you rest the iron. Thus if you lay the iron down flat for more than a few seconds, you burn the cover * The elastic is too loose for our very standard size board meaning that you can pull it off too easily when ironing large objects * Non slip means it's a pain to iron large objects because they stick to it and have to be lifed and then re-laid on it carefully to prevent wrinkles or you pull the cover off (see above) which slows the whole ironing job down (AAAAARGH) * The "bright, ... I purchased the Vax V-026 Rapide Deluxe Carpet Washer in Sept 2007. In June 2008 I used it for the first time to clean liv/din room carpet.The carpet is a very light fawn it had no marks on it and i only cleaned it to freshen it up. The result was very good and I was well pleased The second time it was used to remove a spillage, the filter fell to pieces so I had to buy a new pack, I fitted the new filter and after 20 minuets the motor blew up leaving a black dust deposit on the carpet. It has now been with VAX appointed local service agent for five weeks and still no sign of a new motor from Vax. Om so it is just an iron caddy.... Good points: Easy to affix Stores iron. Bad points: We were buying it to hang ironing board also and the length of the hanger means that you have to place the iron caddy quite high to accomodate the ironing board beneath.....i.e. it means reaching up to get the iron down. Fine for me at 6'2" - but might be an issue for someone shorter or who has problems reaching up. The iron does not lock in place and my Tefal iron feels like it could just fall out - re previous comment from a very high point.....Having said that maybe I am just worrying overly much but you can't take a chance with chidren playing.

I bought these as a trial, wondering if they would turn out to be a 'nice idea that doesn't work' - and I have found them to be great. I now do all my laundry with them. I use a Dyson washing machine, and maybe that makes a difference judging by what some other people have experienced, and have found these balls to be so effective that I now use lower temperatures and shorter cycles, all without washing powder or fabric conditioner and everything comes out clean, soft and smell free. Having said that I don't have really muddy or very soiled clothing so can't say if they are upto that, however I am really greatfull that I no longer have the expense and hassle of buying washing powder - it makes more of a difference than I would have thought, and have the bonus ...
