I bought this about 6 months ago and have found it to be quite good, until a few days ago, when I discovered that it could make the PERFECT froth. A lot of people recommend that you warm the milk for a while in the microwave and then froth. But to make this work so as to form milk that is as thick as beaten egg whites, do the following: 1: Use semi-skimmed milk straight from the fridge. 2: Beat the milk vigorously, making sure that you pump only in the bottom 2 inches of the milk (if you come out of the milk with each stroke, it doesn't work). 3: Keep pumping until it starts to get thick (if you are vigorous, this will take about 30 seconds). 4: Pop it into the microwave at full power (800 watts in my case) for ... This is my second spare in 6 years. The only reason I bought a new one is that my old one became discolored. Best warm the glass prior to use boiling water. Great in the diswasher, no more discolored glass.

These glasses are great. They keep drinks hotter or colder for far longer than any ordinary glasses. Look good too!

This is a well-made product, easy to clean, should last years. It is just the right size for a large mug of coffee for one person. I use it a lot when I'm the only one wanting a cuppa and I don't want to get out the big coffee maker. Cuts down on washing up!

I absolutely love these glasses. Having two young children means that when I put down a mug it is usually a while before I remember to pick it up again. with these glasses the coffee does stay very warm. Warning though, if you want to get rid of visitors quickly, do not make them a cup of tea in these! Also they tend to break at first fall (unlike those tough ceramic mugs) and I have been through quite a lot but wouldn't ever change to any others.

This is a reasonable product at a reasonable price. It works well although, like all cafetierres, you need to use coarse ground coffee to avoid the sludge at the bottom of the cup. I would recommend that you buy yourself a decent coffee grinder and make your own grind. I remember reading somewhere that coffee from a cafetierre is the 'healthy' option as it's the extra heating of 'instant' (as part of it's processing) or percolated coffee, causes the formation of a compound that promotes cholestrol (it's not the caffeine!). Mind you, if you were worried about that, you'll probably be drinking green tea!

At only 500ml this is the perfect teapot for small quantities - does 2 cups easily with a bit left over. Looks good, works just perfectly, and generally does exactly what it says on the box. For fine teas, it will let just a very few fine leaves through into the tea but that doesn't bother me - tea bags often do the same. I'm using mine for herbal teas and you can generally infuse the same tea leaves a couple of times, giving you more cups of tea!

I use this all the time, even when friends come over I can't be bothered to get out the electric coffee maker - I just bought another of these instead. I even take it on holiday. I dispensed with the inner bit though, and use a paper filter instead - less messy, finer filtration and you can just chuck the paper afterwards and give the plastic bit a quick rinse and that's it. Easy.
