Initially I was quite happy with this purchase. An inexpensive kitchen utensil that does a good job. The handle is nicely offset to allow good access inside shallow pans. The all-in-one nylon design is easy to clean and safe to use in non-stick cookware. However, this product does not live up to the usual high standards of Brabantia (who to this point I trusted to deliver good quality). My palette knife literally melted at the end after only a few uses. The last inch or so at the business end of the knife is now a disfigured mess that catches on food and can't be easily cleaned. It's no use to anyone now! The knife is supposed to be suitable for use at temperatures up to 220 degrees C, but mine couldn't even be used ... Read More:

Do not waste your money on this item. It is a complete dissapointment from such a well known brand as Brabantia. As with the other reviewers mine also broke on first use, there is a removable metal part that you can remove for ease of cleaning, and it just can't handle any pressure before it bends and wedges itself tight into the main part of the crusher. Luckly for me I was able to return it to the shop for a full refund.

I wish I'd bought one of these before. Using an excellent Tefal nonstick frypan I find that when trying to flip whatever I'm frying the beggar slides straight out of the pan and onto the deck. (Curse this slippy teflon coat!) Now I have this little beauty to stop my bacon greasing the linoleum of a morning when cooking brekkie. You can't have too many spatulas!
