I'm pretty sure this is the model I have, it looks identical but I can't be sure because it's now so old the writing's wiped off. This is the second I've had, the first bought in the early 1980s gunked up when I used it to blend something wet (NOT A GOOD IDEA) and my current one I bought from the local Oxfam store for £5 in the early 90s). Still going strong and producing excellent grinds though I may upgrade to a 'burr' grinder soon after the recent acquisition of an espresso maker (though I'll no doubt hang on to this one as a reserve). Why has it lasted so long? Because of the price of this product I wasn't expecting too much from it but I was really surprised at how good it was. I had previously bought a large blender complete with mixing bowl and attachments but found it a bind to clean out after use and also it took up valuable space in my small kitchen. This little gem does almost everything my large blender can do. It will liquidise soups easily and can even tackle meat casseroles, provided the chunks of meat are not too large. I also use it to make smoothies with, though some fruits have to be cut into manageable chunks first. I find the jug does dribble a bit when you pour and what the other people say about the gage etc are true. However, it makes great coffee and keeps it hot in the jug for 2 hours, which is the most important thing for me. I think this coffee maker is worth the money and should not leave you disappointed.

I bought this the other day when it was under £20, and its great! I always thought that hand blenders were lightweight but I was wrong. This baby has a 400 watt motor and is Fasssst! I noticed that in the other reviews that it was mentioned that the whisk is too fast and it causes splashes..the first time i used it i nearly ended up covered head to foot in cream,but you know what?,it was my fault..it actually states in the manual that the whisk should be deep in the bowl before it is even switched on, then there are no splashes. I have used the chopper attachment for chopping a bar of chocolate and it is excellent and very fast. Quick, easy, clean, and also quiet. I can come in from a run in the morning and make coffee faster and quieter than boiling a kettle while I am making toast, and there is no cleaning up. The kids can have hot chocolate striaght after. The other thing about it is there is no pouring, so I'm happy for my 8 year old to make himself a hot drink. You'd never let a kid near a kettle or heat a pan of hot milk on the hob. Now if I could just get a machine to walk the dog...

Reading the reviews, we all know that the battery eventually will not hold a charge and that the battery can not be replaced. It should not happen but it does. However my charger itself still works and there are the current and unused replacement heads available, So the answer is to buy the handle unit at a much cheaper price than a completely new one. The handle also has a third button (massage) that my previous handle did not So when your battery expires, heep your charger and the replacement heads and only buy the (much cheaper) handle. Also, for me the service was great - ordered on Sunday and delivered on Tuesday
