I bought this grinder as the Starbucks Barista (it's REAL name is the Solis 116 - it gets re-badged by Dualit/Starbucks). I've had it for well over a year, and it is performing as well today as it was when I bought it. So, in all a reliable great value for money grinder, whose misgivings can all be fixed as follows: 1. The 'it grinds to fine' or (as I have found when using it to get a decent espresso) 'it doesn't grind fine enough' problem can be fixed quite simply if you're willing to dismantle it - follow the excellent instructions that can be found by putting 'grinder tweaks' into google. 2. the static problem goes away if you 'earth' the ground outlet with a metal object - which means getting a teaspoon ... I have tried many different coffee makers over the years ,and this model is best ever . easy and quick to use ,also pours beautifully :The coffee remains piping hot for a long time even after it has been switched off . We can still use left over later on in the day .just switch it back on to percolate again ,and it still tastes fresh :

Love these - I bought two and the toasties were so good I never got the first round. Have ended up ordering two more! Seems to be plenty of room for fillings if you use medium sliced bread and my sandwiches have never got stuck.

After using bargain basement toasters for over 20 years decided to take plunge and go for the iconic, much talked about Dualit. The Toaster looks great and perfoms pretty well, the points I would like raise are that it is a bit pricey for a toaster that requires you to manually determine how long you want to toast, rather than my 15 quid toaster that stayed on automatic and worked fine. I end up not puttng enough time on Dualit and re-doing it or put too much time and burn it. It is also rather noisey in operation (timer and crackling sound of element)and often forget to lift toast out as it does not pop-up, meant to keep toast warmer, but i just forget about it and it stays in toaster, cold, until I return some time later. We've had ours for over 5 years now. It's used every single day on a variety of bread, crumpets, muffins etc. It's never broken down (that's tempting fate) but if it does, I can probably fix it myself - and you can get the spares! That said, the only things that could really go wrong are one of the elements or the timer. On top of that, it's stylish and easy to clean and makes great toast - and the slots fit real sized bread not like lots of the cheap nasty ones that only toast the bottom half of the slice. It's well screwed together and MADE IN BRITAIN. They should make one with a Union Jack on the side! Pay the price and keep it for life. To those who complain one can't leave the toaster unattended because of the fire hazard I can only suggest you are not running your household effectively. If a member of my below-stairs staff left their post whilst attending to the preparation of my toast in the morning, I'd have them flogged. Furthermore, unlike the bread toasting devices in vogue with johnny foreigner, the good old Dualit can be repaired should anything wear out ( or so the estate handyman tells me). I believe this also has environmental benefits if the young green people are to be believed.

My brother and sister-in-law gave us a Dualit Jug Kettle 3 years ago as a Christmas present. We were happy with the design and like our Dualit toaster, we expected it to last. After less than a year the plastic part became cloudy and cracked and water began to leak into the base and onto the worktop. Unfortunately my sister-in-law had not kept the receipt so we could not return the product. I would not buy another one.

I am really pleased with my Dualit hand mixer. Having baked for many years and used several different makes of hand whisk - this is the best by a long way. It is able to cope with large amounts without the feelihg that it is straining the motor. It is easy to handle and is brilliant at whisking hard butter as well as egg whites.I would certainly recommend it.

We had scoured the shops and then read some of the reviews here on Amazon. I am pleased to say that this has been a brilliant buy. It is simple well built, well weighted and powerful and the cord tidy is inspired. It's size doesn't mean you need to dedicate a whole cupboard to store it. In summary it does exactly what it says on the tin!
